On the way back, Anne Sutton sat in the car. Nathan Fawcett held her hand, his large hand gently squeezing her soft fingers.
Anne Sutton let him play with her fingers, paying him no mind.
'He's just that bored, anyway.'
Still, he drank the toast from Justin Shields today, which meant he was planning to let the Shields Family off the hook.
Seeing her stare out the window, Nathan Fawcett moved closer and wrapped his arm around her. "Is it that interesting outside?"
"It's alright." Anne Sutton looked at the sky outside the window and said, "When Caleb Summers and I tried to talk you down, you always thought we were trying to harm you. Now, don't you see how good it is to have power in your hands? If you were a nobody with nothing, do you think you could have been so arrogant today?"
Hearing Anne Sutton's words, Nathan Fawcett said, "Having power is indeed very good."
