Ling Qingyu immediately understood who had been behind the phone call.
"It wasn't me. It was Aaron's help."
"Aaron?"
"The guy I personally gave a taxi ride home."
"You call that a taxi?" Astrid looked exasperated. "I call that a damn threat."
"There, there. Calm down. It's not like I'm doing that to you." Ling Qingyu massaged Astrid's shoulders, soothing the tension in her best friend.
