Chapter 118 - Chapter 118: The Sky is Falling! Buu is Gone?

"What time is it?" the Supreme Kai asked casually.

"It's exactly twelve o'clock noon, the time those authors named Dongyuan and Xiteng update their chapters," Kibito said with a smile, his mouth curling up as a hint of excitement flashed in his eyes.

The Supreme Kai's mouth twitched slightly, and he tapped his forehead lightly with his finger.

There was no need to mention the authors' update schedule here.

"You mean the time in the Divine Realm, right? At Majin Buu's location on Earth, it should be nighttime now," the Supreme Kai mused, tapping his finger on the tabletop twice.

"Supreme Kai, I've been reading a great novel lately called 'Dragon Ball: I Maxed Out My Power Level.' It's so interesting; I've been laughing so hard I haven't been able to sleep for days." Mentioning the novel, Kibito couldn't help but grin, his eyes curving into crescents and his shoulders shaking slightly.

"Stop talking about the novel!" The Supreme Kai's face darkened, and he slapped the table lightly. "We agreed to observe Majin Buu's Seal at this time every day."

His tone carried a hint of sternness as he looked directly at Kibito.

"You are right, Supreme Kai," Kibito nodded solemnly, the smile on his face vanishing completely, replaced by a serious expression.

Then, the two of them looked toward Earth together. Their gaze pierced through layers of space, crossed the vast sea of stars, and landed on that blue-and-green planet, specifically at the location where Majin Buu was sealed.

With one look, both of their bodies froze simultaneously.

The spot where Majin Buu was supposed to be was completely empty.

Only bare ground remained where the Seal had been; that pink spherical Seal had vanished entirely, leaving not a single trace behind.

The Supreme Kai and Kibito felt as if they had been struck by lightning; it felt like the sky was falling.

Their faces instantly turned incredibly pale, their pupils constricted violently, and their lips trembled.

Majin Buu's Seal was gone!

The Supreme Kai and Kibito first exchanged a glance, their eyes meeting in the air.

Their faces were filled with immense gravity, and they both saw terror in each other's eyes.

"I must have misseen it. Let's look again," the Supreme Kai said in a deep, raspy voice.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, and cast his gaze toward Earth once more.

"Are we tea-drunk?" Kibito's mouth twitched as he rubbed his temples. "I've heard that being tea-drunk is even more miserable than being drunk on alcohol."

His voice held a hint of hopefulness, a touch of self-deception.

The two of them carefully observed the location of Majin Buu's Seal once more.

The result was still nothing.

The Seal at that location had completely disappeared, with only the bare ground reflecting a faint silver glow under the moonlight.

The Supreme Kai and Kibito could no longer sit still and immediately rose from their seats.

The chairs made a sharp creaking sound, and the teacups on the table wobbled, nearly toppling over.

"Come, we must go to the scene and see for ourselves!" The Supreme Kai's voice grew even lower, his fists clenched tight.

"Yes, Supreme Kai," Kibito nodded vigorously, fine beads of sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Without any further hesitation, the two immediately performed Instant Transmission.

In the blink of an eye, the Supreme Kai and Kibito arrived at the location where Majin Buu's Seal had been.

They stood there, their bodies trembling slightly, their faces pale, and their hearts like dead ashes.

Their eyes scanned the surroundings over and over, confirming the situation again and again.

This was truly disastrous!

Majin Buu's Seal was gone!

"What on Earth is going on, Supreme Kai?" Kibito looked ready to cry, his voice trembling as his hands hung powerlessly at his sides. "Everything was fine yesterday; how could it suddenly be gone today?"

"It was my negligence; I am to blame for this!" The Supreme Kai clenched his fists tightly, his body shaking even more violently as his nails dug into his palms. "I shouldn't have observed Majin Buu's Seal at a fixed time! Even if there was a fixed time, I should have observed it once every hour of the day!"

His eyes were filled with self-reproach and regret.

"Don't blame yourself, Supreme Kai, it's my fault!" Kibito lowered his head and said shamefully, his voice growing smaller until the last few words were almost inaudible. "As the Supreme Kai's attendant, I should have been observing his Seal at all times!"

"Could it be... he escaped on his own?" The Supreme Kai felt more and more that something was wrong. His brow furrowed as he searched the ground carefully. "Logically, that shouldn't be possible."

"Indeed! There are clearly no signs that the Seal was loosening; logically, he definitely wouldn't have escaped." Kibito shook his head, touching the ground with his finger and getting some dust on his fingertip.

"Perhaps an Earthling passed by here and accidentally disturbed him?" the Supreme Kai pondered, stroking his chin as he gazed toward the distant horizon.

"Let's look around first; maybe we'll find some clues," Kibito suggested, standing up and patting the dirt off his knees.

The two of them began to search the area thoroughly.

Their figures moved through the night, their steps light and hurried, their eyes scanning the ground, not missing a single corner.

Ten minutes later.

"Supreme Kai, look here!" Kibito cried out, his voice tinged with urgency.

He waved from a distance, leaning forward slightly and pointing at the ground.

Although it was night, both of them were gods and could naturally see everything clearly.

The Supreme Kai flew over immediately, his feet landing on the ground as he looked in the direction Kibito was pointing.

When he saw the two empty shells of the Seal lying on the ground, the Supreme Kai felt as if his heart had been struck hard by a sledgehammer.

His body shook slightly, his vision went dark, and he nearly collapsed.

Those two empty halves lay quietly on the dirt, their surfaces covered in cracks, their interiors hollow with nothing left behind.

Fortunately, Kibito reacted quickly and hurried forward to support the Supreme Kai.

"Majin Buu has escaped from the Seal!" The Supreme Kai's face changed repeatedly, turning from pale to ashen, his lips quivering and his voice trembling.

"Supreme Kai, look here." Kibito pointed again to a large crater not far away, indicating the sunken ground.

The crater was several meters in diameter, with the dirt at the edges overturned as if it had been blown open from the inside by some immense force.

The bottom of the crater was charred black, and the surrounding grass had been burned away completely.

"It feels as though he was in an intense battle with someone."

"In an intense battle with someone?" The Supreme Kai was a bit puzzled. He frowned, his gaze scanning back and forth between the crater and the empty shells of the Seal. "According to our investigation, there are no powerful humans on Earth at all!"

"Could an alien have come to Earth?" Kibito speculated, his eyes darting around as he stroked his chin.
