Rez released his senses slightly and easily detected the presence of Vegeta, Broly, and Majin Buu.
The three signatures were not far above the manor, as clear as lights in the dark of night.
If I had known, I shouldn't have taught Vegeta how to sense energy signatures.
Of all the times you could have come, you chose right now.
Upon hearing Vegeta's voice, Linoshi immediately retracted her hand, her movements as fast as if she'd been struck by lightning.
Her cheeks grew even redder, and her eyes dropped, not daring to look at Rez.
"They've found us; I'll head out first," Linoshi said before immediately standing up and leaving the bathroom.
Her figure vanished through the bathroom doorway, leaving only the sound of light, hurried footsteps.
Rez sat stiffly on the low stool, his feet still extended, the warmth of Linoshi's fingertips lingering on his soles.
His mouth opened slightly, then slowly closed.
Wait, didn't we share a room on the Spaceship too?
Why are you getting shy now?
And we haven't even bathed together yet.
Rez gritted his teeth, his frustration mounting.
He took a deep breath, stood up from the sofa, grabbed a nearby towel to dry his feet, and then pulled on his combat boots.
However, since Vegeta and the others had already tracked them down, there was no point in staying here any longer.
Rez put on his armor, stepped out of the guest room, walked down the hallway, pushed open the main door, and entered the courtyard.
He looked up, observing the three figures in the sky.
In the night sky, three silhouettes hovered above the manor, casting faint shadows under the moonlight.
Vegeta and the other two immediately descended from the sky, landing beside Rez.
"Rez, I knew you were here. The environment here looks pretty good," Vegeta said, looking around. His gaze swept over the manor's artificial lake and lawn, a bright smile on his face.
"Didn't I tell you guys to act freely?" Rez asked with a stern face, his eyes scanning Vegeta's expression.
"We ran out of money, and everywhere else is quite boring," Vegeta replied, his chin tilting up slightly with a tone of entitlement.
"You used up two gold bars already?" Rez's face darkened further, his brows furrowing. "What did you even do?"
"Eating, of course. What else?" Vegeta said as if it were obvious, spreading his hands. "There isn't a single person on this planet who can fight. It seems the highest power level is only around two hundred."
"Does eating really cost that much money?" Rez asked irritably, his gaze lingering on Vegeta, Broly, and Buu in turn.
"That stuff called gold is worthless on Planet Vegeta. Consider it a reward from this Prince to them," Vegeta huffed, crossing his arms and lifting his chin even higher.
"So, have you been training properly during these past few hours?" Rez asked again, his tone dropping an octave.
"Not really," Vegeta shook his head, the smile on his face fading slightly.
"And the peaceful heart? How is the honing of that going?" Rez asked with a smile, the corners of his mouth curling up, yet his eyes held a dangerous glint.
Vegeta's mouth twitched as he suddenly had a bad premonition.
His body leaned back slightly, and his tail stiffened behind him.
Why do I find that look in your eyes so terrifying?
"I'm working on it!" Vegeta answered immediately, his voice rushed, and he unconsciously took half a step back.
Rez walked forward silently, reached out, and gently patted Vegeta's shoulder.
Vegeta turned his head to look at Rez's hand, his gaze lingering on Rez's fingers for a moment as his Adam's apple bobbed.
Rez then placed his hand on the back of Vegeta's head, his fingers gripping the base of his skull.
Thud!
In the next instant, Rez's knee slammed heavily into Vegeta's stomach.
The collision between knee and abdomen produced a dull thud.
"Awooo..."
Vegeta let out a scream that echoed through the night sky.
His body doubled over sharply like a boiled shrimp. Clutching his stomach, his eyes bulged, and his mouth hung wide open.
At that moment, Vegeta felt like his whole world was falling apart.
Pfft...
Vegeta spat out a mouthful of bile, gastric juices overflowing from the corner of his mouth and dripping onto the lawn.
His face turned pale, fine beads of sweat broke out on his forehead, and he curled into a ball on the ground, twitching violently while clutching his stomach.
"You... what are you doing?" Vegeta asked loudly, his voice hoarse with indignation.
"I'm testing you! A peaceful heart means not getting angry easily, no matter what. You're still far from it," Rez scolded, looking down at the curled-up Vegeta. "Go and train properly!"
"You..." Vegeta was choked with rage, his lips trembling, but he didn't know what to say.
He paused for a moment.
"Are you saying that if someone hits me, I can't get angry and I can't fight back?" Vegeta asked through gritted teeth, having understood Rez's meaning, the words squeezing out from between his teeth.
"Pretty much," Rez nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"Hmph, if that's the case, I..." Vegeta wanted to argue, his mouth opening, but he stopped mid-sentence.
Something felt wrong.
"Don't you want to become a Super Saiyan anymore?" Rez looked at Vegeta with a smile. His gaze was as calm as water, yet it made Vegeta's skin crawl.
Vegeta fell silent, his mouth closing and his lips thinning into a line.
His gaze dropped, landing on the lawn.
Another silence followed.
"Then... if I can become a Super Saiyan, can I fight back when someone hits me?" Vegeta endured the pain and looked up, staring directly at Rez as he asked another question.
"Correct," Rez nodded.
"Hmph, that's more like it!" Vegeta let out a long sigh of relief, his tense shoulders relaxing slightly.
He climbed up from the ground, brushed off the dirt and grass, and crossed his arms. He held his chin high, though his tail was still slightly tucked.
"Broly, don't you want to try?" Rez smiled at Broly and tilted his chin toward Vegeta.
Broly's eyes immediately lit up, and his grin stretched from ear to ear, revealing a row of white teeth.
Without the slightest hesitation, he kicked off the ground. His body turned into a streak of light as he delivered a flying kick, sending the just-risen Vegeta flying.
Bang!
Vegeta's body was like a kicked ball, drawing an arc in the air and tumbling several times.
He slammed heavily into the ground, bounced once, and rolled several more times before finally coming to a stop.
He plowed a long furrow through the lawn, sending dirt flying.
"I want to try too!" Buu said, not hesitating for a second.
His chubby body leaped into the air, legs tucked in, and then he slammed his bottom down onto Vegeta's body from mid-air.
