Chapter 92 - Chapter 93: What Use Is a Servant Like This?

Cocotte stared at the silent signal lights on the control console, a long sigh escaping from the depths of her throat.

Her shoulders slumped, her fingers slowly slid off the operation keys, and she felt as if all her strength had been drained away.

What on Earth was going on?

She bit her lower lip, her brows knitted together, her gaze locked tightly onto the garbled, static-like ripples on the screen.

Why couldn't she contact headquarters?

Had headquarters really been swallowed by a black hole?

It couldn't be that bad, could it?

Did Planet Pride no longer exist?

Cocotte stood blankly in front of the control console, her chest heaving, her expression one of utter dejection.

Her fingers unconsciously tapped twice on the console before stopping, as if she couldn't even be bothered to muster that much effort.

Immediately after, she turned her head and scanned the saucer's main hall.

Dyspo was curled up in a chair, his purple face full of pain, his breath as weak as a candle in the wind, barely clinging to life.

Caselar was lively enough, standing in the corner stretching his limbs, but the confidence in his eyes had long since dissipated.

He was simply no match for Broly or Vegeta.

Not to mention that terrifying guy, Rez, deep inside the saucer.

Cocotte withdrew her gaze, clenched her fists, and then weakly unclenched them.

There really was no chance of winning here.

Just as her heart was about to be filled with despair, the speaker on the control console suddenly emitted a harsh "crackle" sound.

Her eyes lit up, and she sprang up as if electrocuted, her hands flying across the console.

The signal was terrible, intermittent, and only a few lines of text struggled to appear on the screen.

Cocotte recognized the sender's ID at a glance.

It was none other than the Pride Troopers headquarters!

Her pupils dilated slightly, her lips couldn't help but curl upward, and a light reignited in her eyes.

Without hesitation, her fingers tapped rapidly on the keyboard, sending the situation here and their current target coordinates all at once.

Then, the "crackle" stopped abruptly, and the signal lights on the screen went completely dark.

Cocotte's fingers froze in mid-air, and the smile on her face stiffened.

Her lips parted slightly, then slowly closed again; the breath in her chest was stuck in her throat, unable to be released.

"Why did it cut off again?"

"Did you receive it or not?"

She stared at the dead screen, not moving for a long time.

...

Three days passed quickly.

Cocotte never received any more signals from headquarters.

Every day, she sat in front of the control console for a long time, staring at the silent screen, her gaze shifting from anticipation to anxiety, from anxiety to disappointment, and finally, it went completely cold.

Her heart felt like it was being gripped by someone, heavy and stifled.

Meanwhile, Rez had been very busy over these three days.

Well, busy massaging Linoshi's feet.

And massaging her legs while he was at it.

Cocotte's room had been requisitioned by Rez.

That room was much more spacious than their original, cramped cabin, and the bed was bigger; Linoshi sat on the edge of the bed, finally able to straighten her legs.

Rez crouched by the bedside, his fingers massaging with just the right amount of pressure. Linoshi leaned against the headboard, her eyes half-closed, her eyelashes fluttering gently, and the flush on her cheeks never faded.

As for that original small cabin, Rez hadn't even glanced at it again.

At this moment, the saucer was getting closer and closer to Earth.

The starry sky outside the porthole was gradually filled by a blue and green planet, with clouds slowly flowing outside the atmosphere like a thin veil.

Rez walked out of the room with a light step, a look of satisfied composure on his face.

Linoshi followed behind him, her eyes lowered, her fingers unconsciously rubbing the hem of her Battle Suit, her earlobes still tinged with a faint pink.

The two walked into the main control hall one after the other.

"Hello, Rez. We will arrive at Earth in five minutes!" Cocotte hurriedly stepped forward, bowing slightly, her voice filled with a hint of caution.

"Not bad, you all have performed very well." Rez nodded with satisfaction, his gaze sweeping over Cocotte's face as she tried to maintain her composure, then he turned and waved at Broly.

Broly was crouching in the corner, holding a bottle of golden liquid, drinking it with relish, his cheeks bulging.

Seeing Rez wave, he immediately put the bottle on the floor and ran over in a few strides, a silly smile on his face.

"Are you satisfied with these three servants?" Rez asked with a smile.

Broly tilted his head and thought for a moment, the smile on his face slowly fading, and he pursed his lips: "Not fun."

Rez turned to Vegeta, lifting his chin slightly: "What about you?"

Vegeta crossed his arms, his chin held high, his tail flicking behind him, and he snorted: "I don't need such useless servants! Why not throw them out into space and let them fend for themselves?"

As soon as the words fell, Dyspo, Cocotte, and Caselar all changed expressions.

Three pairs of eyes glared at Vegeta in unison, filled with terror and anger.

"Hey, we've spent these past three days serving you tea and water, and this is how you treat us?" Dyspo gritted his teeth, his voice hoarse, the veins on his purple face twitching slightly.

He sat in the chair, leaning forward, his fists clenched tight enough to creak, but because his injuries were too severe, even standing up was a struggle.

"You make excuses whenever I ask you to do anything; what use is a servant like this?" Vegeta snorted coldly, glancing at Dyspo with a sneer, a contemptuous curve on his lips.

Rez ignored their bickering and turned to look at Broly: "Where is the gun?"

Broly was stunned for a moment, rolled his eyes, then reached out, pulled open his waistband, and pulled out the silver-white Energy Gun.

The gun still carried the warmth of his body temperature, gleaming coldly under the lights.

"Put all three of them away." Rez ordered Broly.

"Hehe, I'm good at this!" Broly grinned, showing a mouthful of white teeth, his eyes lighting up.

He turned around and aimed the muzzle at Dyspo first.

Dyspo's expression changed repeatedly, from purple to ashen, staring at the pitch-black muzzle, his throat bobbing up and down.

"Don't resist! Rest assured, when the time is right, I will let you go." Rez smiled.

Broly didn't hesitate and pulled the trigger.

"Whoosh—"

A Spiral Light Flame shot out from the muzzle, spinning as it flew forward, leaving a silver-white trail in the air, instantly covering Dyspo.

Dyspo's pupils shrank violently.

His body instinctively wanted to dodge, his muscles tensed, and energy surged within him.

But after only a moment, he deflated.

He closed his eyes, his clenched fists slowly loosening, and he stood frozen on the spot like a block of wood.

He was already severely injured, and his energy hadn't recovered much.

Although he could dodge, what then?

He would definitely get beaten up severely again.

Why look for trouble?

"Pop!"

Dyspo's body rapidly shrank and deformed; his limbs retracted, his torso compressed, and his purple skin wrinkled into a ball before smoothing out.

In just a few seconds, he turned into a small object the size of a thumb, pointed at both ends, and fell from mid-air.
