Michael's reaction did not surprise Luis. Rather, if he had pretended not to know, that would have been surprising. Making Luis doubtful about Michael's identity. Though he still doubts it, anyway.
"Of course, I know. It's the… Grieving Heart Orb." Michael uttered those words in a grim tone, his heart full of remorse, bringing back some terrible memories. He couldn't understand why Luis carried such a thing with him.
Luis nodded and asked further. "Can you confirm for me whether it's produced by your clan?"
Michael knew there must be a deeper reason for Luis to ask such a question. Even though it may bring danger to his clan, he told the truth.
Because lying now would not help, since Luis had sought him out, it must mean he already has an answer. As for asking him, it must be for the sake of face. He believes there must be a misunderstanding. If he lies now, all hope of mending things will be gone.
