The once fat kid strode out with his eyes filled with fucking determination as he stretched out his form and I couldn't help but notice how his clothes were literally tied down to his form lest his much thinner form lose said clothes.
"Holy shit, you made it dude," I said offering the guy a nod of respect and he gave a wry smile before his voice tinged with exhaustion said.
"Yeah... I managed to kill the Asylum demon and I made it to the Fire Link Shrine in one piece... Had a good bit of souls that I dumped straight into getting my Endurance and Strength raised."
He seemingly looked around and I coughed saying. "Yeah, no system settings or whatever in this world... Or was there in there?" I asked curiously as there wasn't any kind of system for me in Fallout.
He shook his head with a hint of sadness crossing his face. "No... I just, I freed the Fire Keeper and dealt with that asshole that would have killed her. And I became friends with her a good bit. I was... I am thinking about bringing her here."
I raised an eyebrow and the guy went silent as I quickly rang up a purchase of some iron bones jaw breaker's from one of the soldiers which would give the eater much stronger bones and a slightly enhanced physique which did cost a few souls.
"How much is the Dark Soul's 1 Firekeeper going to run you to take home buddy?" I asked curiously.
He took a deep breath and he said calmly. "The system said it would cost due to her power granting abilities, fifteen thousand individual souls, over five hundred elite souls, and a Lord grade soul."
"Whooo boy... Makes sense really." I muttered as I realized that having a Firekeeper here in this world would basically allow people touched and blessed by her to claim the souls of the monsters and kaiju's roaming around and make fucking bank to say the least if they manage to slay said monsters/kaiju.
Either way, I raised an eyebrow and asked both teasingly and seriously. "So... You still got that dream of snatching up a 2B, and Sekirei?"
The teen... No, the young MAN, took a deep breath with him looking me fucking dead in the eye as he stated firmly. "Yeah, dude. I am bringing home a wife to my grandparents to make them proud."
And honestly,I damn near choked up at the sheer determination on his face, so I asked him what I should have done before. "Alright dude, so what's your name?"
He blinked at the left-side question and he shifted somewhat awkwardly before he said. "Uhh... I mean I guess, yeah my name is Ned Leeds."
And I just stared at him as he was previously wearing a full hoodie that covered up a bit of his face and most of his form. But now seeing him I recognized him as that fat kid friend of Spiderman from the Avenger's movies!
But now he wasn't fat after managing to succeed in doing the Dark Soul's mission. Either way, once I got over the moment of surprise I held out a hand to him to shake and I said my own greetings.
"Nice to meet you, Ned. My name is Jake Bariss, and you know what... I got a fuck load of extra guns and ammo. Maybe you and I can do a mission together one of these days."
Ned was clearly surprised to hear my offer and for a moment it looked like he would refuse out of hand. Then he spoke slowly. "Well, with the anti-betrayal clauses in the shop, I think I can trust you... Alright, I do have a couple idea's I can run past you for worlds and missions. But we can talk tomorrow as I need to get home."
I nodded and sent him off with a wave as I got back to work dealing with my customers as I had an idle thought. 'What if when Peter Parker gets his powers and show's off to his friend... Only to learn his friend is a fucking badass who beat Dark Soul's IRL without dying?'
Either way the rest of the day went without too much issue besides a slight surprise as someone walked in only for the shop to instantly teleport them to California for some reason.
Beyond that, it was all quiet for the most part as I continued to sell off stuff until I closed down the shop and I myself walked over to the portal system to see if there was anything I wanted to do.
'Seven Day's to Die... I don't want to get eaten by a zombie plus there's no magic but I can strengthen my body a bit with their internal level system.' I mused as I went through the list of options of 'starter' friendly places that I could survive due to the fact that I had a bunch of gun's and ammo.
'Could go to Konosuba... A gun could allow me to deal with some smaller monsters. Hmm... Actually, there is even some wuxia/cultivation rogue-lite games and such. That could be a very solid way for me to gain strength not to mention gain a fuck load of souls for me to buy power-granting candies or enhancements.'
The biggest issue for me was being kind of overwhelmed with options, not to mention the literally ten's of thousands of source worlds I could go to. There were generally dozen's if not hundreds of missions from short to long term to take care within said worlds.
But out of curiosity, I decided to go look at the Sekirei quest options... And my god were they looking 'fantastic.'
[Tame the Raven- Make Karasuba naturally React to you and take her as your Ashikabi]-[Rewards- Price for bringing Karasuba to this world is reduced by half.]
[Trial of the God's- Win the Sekirei Game completely without killing Minaka or otherwise ruining the tournament. Must also defeat the Sekirei Pillar Miya.] [Greatly enhanced psychic potential- All Sekirei bound during a mission may leave with user at a rate of 70% off.]
Those were just a couple of these missions, there were dozens more... From managing to seduce Miya, to cucking Minato the world's 'Main Character'. To deal with other antagonists in Higa and others in certain way's.
Out of curiosity though. I went and looked at other worlds that followed the harem, ecchi, or hentai bent. And my lips twitched as I realized like at least a quarter of the fucking universes had missions based on cucking those 'main characters'!
But then I noticed something... Exciting as I realized some missions were for me only and tagged as such.
[Red Dragon of Domination- The user will be inserted into an alternate timeline where they are an orphan in the place of Issei Hyoudou. They will have to survive canon event's up and to the point of the Rating Game against Riser Phenex. The user MUST defeat Riser Phenex without resorting to holy items in the initial Rating Game and take the virginity or otherwise dominate another member of Rias Gremory's peerage or herself.]
[Rewards- The user will be inserted with the Boosted Gear, and should they succeed in all parameters of the mission they will leave with a Twice Critical and all of all gained strength and magical energy will be transferred to their body with the user being able to choose if they wish to remain a devil.]
That was a mission solely for me, and as I looked at the mission I saw it also came in multiple part's like my long-term Fallout mission where I could jump back in or just go for a longer stint. Should I stay there or go back and deal with Kokabiel I would be able to keep the Boosted Gear entirely.
But beyond that personal main story mission for me, there was also more... Interesting side quests. Like sleeping with notable characters or doing things.
Like apparently getting Sirzech's to call me his little brother with actual affection would give me the Power of Destruction for example...
However, one of the earlier missions was rather interesting. [Tame the broken birds- Take one or more of the early fallen angels in Kuoh in hand and make them swear loyalty to you.- Allow user access to Holy Light magic, any of the fallen who submit will allowed back to reality at 50% off.]
"Hmm, so many damned worlds and missions it's impossible to choose... Not to mention I don't want to die like a bitch to say the least!"
