Chapter 77 - character 61 part 3

Chapter 61 part 3

With Morrigan and Salem

The two flew across the rocky wasteland towards the Behemoth which was on one knee breathing a little heavily.

"Did you poison it already?" Salem asked, eyes widening slightly.

Morrigan gave a haughty nod. "Naturally."

"Wow… that stuff really does work. Hold up. When did you poison it?"

"Immediately after you blew its horn off," she replied, lighting her cigarette with an elegant flick. Her eyes never left the monster. "You gave me the perfect opening to slip in close and insert it properly. Though, to be fair, its effect is rather… accelerated. Those three mages exhausted it first, and your little bit of vandalism crippledit. Without either of those factors, we'd be waiting a good while longer."

Morrigan threw away the cigarette and began to transmute her harms, with flesh and bone quickly reshaping into four elongated claws, each one dripping translucent acid that hissed as it fell, eating into the stone below.

"Now let's get to work shall we~."

"Roger."

Salem's whole body was enveloped by fire transforming into his anthropomorphic Teostra form of course using 69% of its power.

The Behemoth dug its feet on the ground and roared at the new challenges.

And the two proceeded to mercilessly jump the anomaly.

The Behemoth swung wildly, but its movements were sluggish, too slow, too heavy. Morrigan slipped past its strike effortlessly and carved across its chest, her claws raking deep. Acid ate into the wound immediately, widening it into a brutal cross-shaped gash.

The monster turned on her, about to unleash a compressed blast of black wind, only for Salem to dart in from behind and detonate an explosion at the base of its neck. The Behemoth howled as Morrigan followed up, her foot swelling grotesquely before slamming into its ribs, spikes tearing through stone as she sent it skidding across the ground.

It staggered upright and tanked a long-range fire blast, snarling as its remaining horn glowed. Gravity warped around it as a well began to form but it was too slow..

The charge-up dragged on, poison and damage crippling its control. Salem and Morrigan swarmed it mercilessly with fire, acid, impact, and pressure never letting up long enough for it to release anything meaningful.

Desperate, the Behemoth flung the floating ores embedded in its back like artillery.

Both shapeshifters were forced back.

The monster's mane then flared violently.

"Oh how dramatic," Morrigan muttered.

They both knew this was indicating it was a bout to a strong storm based attack, but before they knew it a hurricane of black wind erupted outward, screaming at supersonic speed and tearing across 25 kilometer radius. Lightning laced through it, striking the two.

Morrigan landed hard, boots skidding as she cracked her neck and dusted off her leather jacket. "Well… that was something." She scowled down at the torn fabric. "Dammit not another one.

Her eyes flickered around looking for her adorable student but he was nowhere to be seen but she could still sense him around. More specifically under the ground which was enough of a relief.

But she was taken out of her thoughts when she had to dodge a large barrage of lightning strikes from the anomaly.

'Wow it still has that much energy to do all this. Impressive~.' Morrigan observed the monster while she was still dodging and noticed that it was really pushing itself, possibly really deep in its fight or flight mindset running on pure fumes now.

Her eyes widened a bit as she looked in the sky and a 35 meter meteor was coming down straight at her at mach 16 speed.

She was about to get out of there but remembered Salem was still around and would get caught in the blast.

'Tsh girl why are you even going to go this far?' She questioned herself and flew straight for the meteor with her eyes turning red for a brief moment and her body was covered in darkness.

"Darkness God's Below!" She screamed out a large dark tornado from her mouth and it sounded like a loud terrifying echo of hundred demonic women screaming.

The attacks clashed and Morrigan put all her strength into the attack destroying the mentoring and the little chunks remaining of its meteor fell to the ground.

Morrigan coughed violently with a little blood coming out. "My throat hasn't been through this much work since..."

She was then hit by a black tornado knocking her out of the sky.

"Honestly. I'm getting tired of you. You mutated mutt." She got up with her wounds healing and got back into the fight.

With Salem he had dived to the ground during the hurricane attack in his Hare full form burrowing deep into it. While he was down there he transformed into his sea serpent form.

"Sea leviathan's charge!"

Massive coils of water burst from the ground, forming spectral serpents that wrapped around the Behemoth's legs and torso. The water constructs constricted violently, and the anomaly tried to fend them though with its severely depleted strength made that task hard. It even tried to use lightning but they stubbornly continued their assault.

Morrigan took full advantage, and transformed one of her arms into a huge flesh blade and used it to cut of the remaining horn

One arm morphed into a massive flesh-blade, cleaving clean through the remaining horn. Her shoulders split as two additional arms burst forth, reshaping into jagged hooks dripping darker, thicker acid. She slammed them into the Behemoth's back and pulled, tearing chunks free while her original claws shredded its already-open wound.

The Behemoth roared in pain and rage clotting itself in lightning electrocuting Morrigan. It slammed its hand into the ground causing a shock-wave rippled outward, gravity spiking erratically. Salem was thrown back mid-transition, skidding hard across the ground as his Sea Serpent constructs dissolved.

The moment it spotted Salem the Behemoth with its enhanced speed charged at him but he was grabbed of the way by a tendril from Morrigan and it crashed face first into the ground struggling to get up, its vision getting blurry and arms getting weaker.

"Having performance issues, junior?" she teased, patting Salem's cheek condescendingly. "You're usually quicker than that~

"Man, I would have dodged that. But getting hit by an attack equal to like a 7 magnitude earthquake screws a dude up. Also I think you told that joke wrong."

"Excuses~ Excuses~. Just get back down there. I don't know how much longer the poison is going to affect. Now work your magic"

"Fine, I got something for it." He got out of her tendril and transformed into his Kitsune form landing gracefully on the ground then flared his tails just to be more extra. "Hey~ Hey~."

He winked at the anomaly snapping his fingers and did a finger gun gesture making a hundred images of himself and Morigan. The illusions began to manoeuvre around the anomaly greatly confusing it in what was going on.

The Behemoth lashed out blindly at the illusions, however its breathing grew ragged. Its limbs trembled and almost grew completely numb. Energy bled away uselessly.

Then with a final huff it collapsed.

"And down it goes~." Morrigan flew next to him brushing herself on his long fluffy tails.

"Well~ Well~ That went better than it thought. I was going to work harder to trap. I had a whole cool plan ready to put in this position too~." Salem dispersed the illusions and conjured spirit arts fire chains to bind it just in case.

"Oh~ Shouldn't you be happy about that? Wasn't the whole point of the poisoning and letting those three handle this thing was to make this easier."

"Meh can't blame a guy for being a tiny bit cautious can you~" He cracked his knuckles with a foxishly smile on his face. "Your all mine~"

He was going to use his Take-Over magic on it but Morrigan sighed and used a tendril to slap the back of his head.

"Ow! Why~."

Morrigan planted her hands on her hips, giving a stern look. "Because you suddenly seem to have selective memory. I distinctly recall the last SS-Class monster you tried absorbing and you still don't have that under control. What do you think happens if you add this?"

Salem sucked his teeth in annoyance but he knew she was right.

'Oh man I was really looking forward to adding one of THE final fantasy monsters to my roster. But I get that I would just settle for the others.' He lightly kicked the dirt and leaned on Morrigan's boobs. "Alright, my devastatingly attractive mentor. Would you mind finishing it off before my bad habits resurface~?"

She chuckled softly. "Cheeky little thing. Mind your tone, boy~."

She brought out her wings and shot the sky at mach 20 speeds transmuting her right leg into a large flesh blade and came down with equal speeds in an axe kick with the flesh blade. This cut off the anomalies head causing a large crack in the ground going on for 9km. The purple glow envelops the behemoth and Salem uses his phone to send it back to Morpheus.

"So are we finally done here?" She walked next to him.

"That's right~." He transformed back to normal. "Phew that form gives me conflicted feelings sometimes."

Morrigan patted his shoulder. "I like it. You're a bit more fun and excentric. It might help you get lucky with the girls." But she suddenly glanced off to the side, annoyed.

Salem picked up on this. "So they still spying on us?"

Morrigan shrugged "Yep and you would think they would be smart enough to leave but that doesn't matter. Now let's get that thing's horns and leav… "

"Excuse us."

The Crime Sorcière mages were standing a few meters behind them with their battle tattered cloaks flowing with the wind.

Morrigan groaned at their presence.

Salem blinked as it wasn't really windy right now. 'Did they pick that spot on purpose?'
