Deep in a cavern underground, a torso attached to a head lay motionless in a pool of blood, there was so much blood around that some might think it belonged to dozens of people put together, but it all came from the man lying there and he was still bleeding, his body's natural regeneration making sure he never runs out of blood as long as he is alive, albeit he wasn't bleeding as much as before, his eyes were closed, he was unconscious.
Only after a long while did the bleeding stop, and instead of blood a golden energy was being expelled from his body at a regular pace, dissipating in the air around him as his stumps finally closed, and it was even longer before his limbs started growing back.
Small rock spirits approached Levi's motionless body, some smelling him and some others only watched from afar, but after not finding anything interesting most ended up ignoring him, treating him just like any other inanimate object in this underground cave.
Day after day passed, or what could be considered a day in the spirit world, and Levi still hadn't woken up, golden energy finally stopped being expelled from his body, and the moment it did so his limbs and injuries regeneration showed visible improvement as they started recovering at an increasing rate.
Acnologia's anxious screams kept assaulting Levi's mind but as he had blocked his voice and blocked him from coming out Acnologia couldn't do anything, he couldn't even go out to stand and guard him while he recovered.

After an unknown amount of time, Levi's eyes finally started twitching before they opened completely. His usually lively blue eyes were hollow and tired but deep inside a sheeting rage was brewing.
The Pool of blood beside him had long dried up and started solidifying, it made sickening crunching sounds every time Levi made the slightest of movements on top of it.
Acnologia appeared by his side a second later rubbing his head on him to comfort him, "It's alright buddy, we made it." said Levi, his voice coming out hoarse and cracked from not using it for days. He tried to pet Acnologia before realizing his arms hadn't grown back yet, he could only try to force a smile but he couldn't even do that.
'Who were they?' asked Acnologia, his anger clearly felt by Levi.
"I don't know buddy, but If I had to guess they're either from the future sent to kill me before I can grow any stronger or they're from an alternate timeline, The first option is the most likely one." said Levi his voice becoming more clear but still a little bit cracked.
'What are we going to do?'
"For now? Just rest and recover, plus you don't have to worry, we won't fall into that same predicament again." said Levi with a confident tone in his voice as looked into the window floating in front of him.

That was what had helped him escape with his life in the last second, it was the ability he received when his spirit body hit level 80, he had just activated it according to the information he received when he obtained it with no destination in mind and had found himself in this underground cave.
It was completely dark in here with not even a tiny source of light, but it posed no challenge to Levi and Acnologia, looking around all he could see were rocks lining up every direction and stalactites growing out from the cave roof, an underground river ran by the cave a little distance away the sound of running water bringing a small comfort to the dark isolated environment of the cave.
Small rock spirits of different shapes and sizes filled the cave, some resembling crabs, and some resembling rock maggots, they were watching him and Acnologia with curiosity from a distance.
'Ha-ah, it was a really close call.' thought Levi as he moved away from the solidified pool of blood and laid on his back, waiting for his limbs to regrow, he didn't need them to move, he could just float or fly around, or even teleport now, but he was so tired that he didn't want to move, he doubted that he would have moved even if his limbs were intact.
Closing his eyes Levi entered into a meditative state to quicken his recovery rate as he lay there on his back, his senses though were spread all around, his ethereal sense pushed to the limit as he tried to detect any movements, he didn't know how far he had teleported and if Orionis would come knocking on his door anytime soon so he had to be ready.

Opening his eyes Levi sat up and stretched his newly regrown arms and legs sitting in a crossed-legged position, his Health points were back to max level, alongside his Stamina and Chi, he was back in his top shape, in fact he was even stronger than before, not only had he assigned a lot of his stat points during his escape, a lot of his skills and abilities had leveled up, he had also gained a lot of other stats naturally, mostly Endurance and agility.
'System, how long since my fight with Orionis and Elysia.' asked Levi as he had been unconscious most of the time, he feared it had been too long.
[User had been Unconscious for seven days and reciprocating for three days, making it ten days since the fight]
Seeing this he couldn't help but heave a sigh in relief, 'Thankfully it wasn't that long, I don't want to come back after years of being missing again, Katara would kill me.'
Remembering all the notifications that had piled up since the fight started and until now Levi opened them up and started looking through them.

Seeing all the notifications that popped up Levi was overwhelmed for a moment before he focused on one of them, rapid recovery. All the others he had expected but it seemed he had been closer to death than he had realized for rapid recovery to Level up eleven times, he pulled up the updated description.

To say Levi was happy for this power up to rapid recovery would be an understatement, with this few could still stand in his way or outlast him in battle, although he also knew that if he ran into enemies of Orionis and Elysia's caliber again it wouldn't be the same, their strange golden energy had rendered Rapid recovery almost useless, so much so that it took him ten days to recover.
Even the System updated the Ability description, there was no mention of the "special circumstances" in the description before he met Orionis and Elysia, 'It seems even the system isn't all-knowing as I had thought.' thought Levi, reminding himself he would need to be more careful from now on.
Although it was safe to say that if he ran into Orionis and Elysia as he was now not only wouldn't he be reduced to his previous state but he might even stand a chance at killing them both, especially with his new title, the boost might not be much but over a prolonged battle every bit of damage dealt and every bit of damaged avoided counted, in the long run it will stack and he will come out on top.
Even now he still didn't know how strong they were, he had tried using observation on them multiple times but he only came up with question marks for it, but he was still confident he could take them on now, if nothing else he was confident he could escape.
'I guess Orionis was right after all, my most disturbing trait is my ability to adapt.' thought Levi, feeling awkward at agreeing with the man who had almost killed him.
'Speaking of Orionis.' thought Levi as he remembered how his level 2 theft Ability had actually worked on Orionis, stealing his thoughts and buying him a few extra precious seconds.
He noticed that he could perfectly read that thought the moment he had stolen it, but it was a useless one, only filled with curses at Levi, things he wouldn't have needed to resort to theft to know.
Lastly, Levi pulled up his quest, its only objective was for him to survive which he did, now he was eager to see what his reward would be.

Seeing this description Levi didn't know how to react, he tried closing his eyes and feeling for anything different in his body but it was still all the same, nothing had changed, and if it did it was so hidden that he couldn't detect anything.
The only thing that could give him even the slightest of hints as to what it was was that it was in the ability section, so he could assume it was an ability and even then he wasn't so sure as it had been proven that the system wasn't all-knowing.
"Ha-ah, If I can't do anything about it then why worry" muttered Levi to himself making Acnologia look at him in confusion, "It's nothing, buddy, It's fine now everything is fine." he said as he reached his hand and patted his head.
"Although, I am more concerned about you, how come you aren't running all around the place trying to eat all the spirits around." asked Levi in bewilderment as he had just now noticed Acnologia's strange behavior.
Hearing him, Acnologia's ears jumped up as he finally seemed to notice where they were and all the spirits running around as he darted towards them causing them to scatter all around the cave, sadly they had nowhere to run besides the river and it seemed they weren't smart enough to pick that choice.
Seeing this Levi couldn't help but shake his head in amusement, although he was relieved that Acnologia was back to his usual self, it only went to show how worried he had been about him, he didn't even notice the "Food" walking all around until Levi pointed it out.
Letting Acnologia play Levi closed his eyes as he started testing his newly acquired ability, he could feel that if he so wished he could teleport all over the underground cave and even beyond, not only that he could also feel as if there were layers of space stacked all over the place, sadly he couldn't prop them further or even teleport to them, he'll have to level up his ability, but he guessed that was what Sage was referring to when he had mentioned the different layers and dimensions of the spirit world.
'So if in theory, I teleported into one of those layers I will end up in an alternate version of the Avatar world, or at least their spirit world.' thought Levi, analyzing his findings before he shivered a little, if he did that he had no idea how to come back into the current version of the avatar world, he'll be lost in the avatar multiverse jumping from one to another never able to return home.
'Wait, that's not necessarily the case, what if I…' getting an idea Levi opened his System shop as he searched for a very specific ability, one that would let him pinpoint the exact coordinates of a place in space and even work across multiverses, before long Levi found what he was looking for.
[Void Anchor (Active) Level 1: Allows the user to leave an anchor in a specific location, the user can always sense and know the location of the anchor, the anchor can only be detected by the user] - Price: 80.000 system points.
Without any hesitation Levi bought it, it cost him more than half of his System points stock but it wasn't expensive considering its usefulness, then again it was useless without an ability like voidwalker.
Just when Levi was about to use it another notification popped up in front of him.

Levi hesitated for a second before he saw the last line of notification, he immediately chose yes and waited for the two abilities to merge, this was the first time something like this had happened and he was excited to see the results, especially considering the fact that voidwalker was a spirit body sub-ability, all the sub-abilities so far had been broken so he wondered what the result of the merge would be.
He didn't have to wait long as the new ability was displayed before him.

Levi couldn't hold his excitement any longer as he started laughing out loud, making Acnologia look at him weirdly from his corner in the cave, it wasn't the description that made him laugh though.
It was the fact that the moment the merge was successful, he could feel the overlapped spaces and dimensions all around become clearer to him, he still couldn't move to them but he was infinitely closer than before, not only that, with a thought the space in front of him rippled as he claimed it as his own, it was only the size of a baby's fist, but it was his.
Not only could he feel this specific piece of space no matter where he was and teleport to it, he could also store things inside of it and have the space follow him wherever he went, and if he claimed a bigger piece of space he could fight enemies and suppress them inside, although that was all the space he could claim right now, he could claim more but they would all be the same size, still it was by all means one of his strongest abilities.
Another great use was that he could now clearly feel the physical world and feel the barrier separating the spirit and physical worlds, with just a thought he felt he could pass to the physical world unimpeded.
'With this my ticket to other worlds is all but secured and I can even come back to my home world anytime I want.' thought Levi, barely holding himself from bursting into another maniacal laughter, he just needed to level it up for now.
