The house stood quiet, the absence of Ben's parents palpable as he navigated through the house with Naruto.
He prepared big portions of fried rice and soup for Naruto as he was hungry for a day,
" I will start the cooking now you go and was yourself and please make yourself home, Naruto."
.... Meanwhile in the hokage office.....
Seito, the Anbu responsible for observing Ben , bowed before the hokage.
" What's the matter seito, had Ben again done something."
"Lord hokage , Ben has contacted the jinchuruki when he was out for walk in the park, after knowing about his condition he befriended him and offered him to stay with him and took him home."
Wide eyed,' that Ben, here I was feeling sorry for his loss but here he is pouring water on my plans,'
" I see , you can leave seito and don't let Ben and Naruto get any harm".
' guess I waited a little too long, I need to meet Ben in order to see Naruto and need to present my self as his saviour, cause Naruto uzumaki is my responsibility.'
.... After some time.....
On the kitchen table the food was set, " the foods done , please dig in and don't be shy for thirds and fourths I made a lot specially for you."
With the show of such generosity and affection, touched Naruto as it was his first time on being the recieving end, it made his eyes watery but he quickly wipes them " then I won't be polite and start."
"You eat Naruto I will put up the bed for us, so we can sleep afterwards, put the dishes in the sink and close the light when you are done."
After eating ,Naruto washed the dishes and put off the lights and sleeps on his futon besides Ben on his bed.
But after some time they hear someone knocking on their Door.
Ben and Naruto moved towards the cautiously " who is it at my gate at 8 'o clock in the night."
When Ben opens the door he founds Hiruzen infront of him with some food package in his hands" ahh Ben , I'm here to see you ,your parents had said me to look after you till they are out on the mission, I also brought some Takoyaki , ahh who is with you ohhh.. Naruto what are you doing here why are you not in your orphanage."
" I was kicked out of there yesterday jiji , and then found me in the park today became my friend and offered to let me live with him."
Ben yawning" why are you so late coming to visit a child lord hokage ."
" You can also call me jiji like Naruto, You were sleeping so early Ben kun, it's only 8, I thought you would like some snack."
" Not to be rude I like calling you lord hokage, and don't you know a good kid always sleeps early didn't your mother taught you that , and if she did and you forgot how can someone forgetfull even become a hokage."
' hahahah take that you old goat , I will make sure to humiliate you for the name you have given me.'
" Ben's right jiji good people sleep early, does that mean you are a bad person jiji."
With a twitch on his eyes " no, no nothing like that Naruto as the hokage to take care of the village I need to be awake till late night,
and Naruto you know you can't live with Ben here you know , his parents would be mad at him for inviting someone when they were not there."
Ben with a no bullshit tone " don't worry lord hokage my parents are not like yours, they won't be angry at me for bringing in Naruto, they left the house on my watch as they believe in me , they will be proud knowing I helped Naruto."
" Now if you don't have anything else to say we are sleepy lord hokage goodnight." After saying that Ben closes the door on hiruzen face when he was trying to speak something.
Naruto yells " goodnight jiji" and both of them leave towards their bed.
..... Outside...
That kid Ben, he didn't even let me finish what hell has sarada and Mazama taught their kid, and what was that about my parents being bad.
"Haah I would need to leave them be for sometime as I have a lot of things to do and also need to tell Danzo, to not make any mistake this time."
With the daily managing of the household chores and meals.Ben found unexpected companionship in Naruto, who had found refuge in his home after being kicked out of the orphanage.
Amidst the echoing silence, the kitchen became a hub of activity. Ben, a proficient young cook, took charge of meal preparations,
crafting dishes with flair and enthusiasm. Naruto, curious and eager to help, offered his help in doing the cleaning chores, with all his efforts he cleaned the Mats and varanda as well kept the garden nice and clean .
"Whoa, you're amazing at this, Ben!" Naruto exclaimed, watching in awe as Ben deftly sliced vegetables for a stir-fry."Thanks, Naruto! Cooking's fun, and it's not as hard as it seems," Ben replied with a grin,
offering Naruto a chance to chop some vegetables.Together, they laughed, shared stories, and bonded over their shared experiences.
As the days passed, Ben noticed Naruto's desire to learn and grow. In between meal preparations,
Ben dedicated time to teach Naruto basic ninja techniques he had learned from observing his parents."Alright, Naruto, let's try this stance again,"
Ben instructed, demonstrating a simple taijutsu stance. "It's all about balance and focus."Naruto mirrored Ben's movements, stumbling at first but gradually finding his footing.
' just like that Naruto in the canon you were not trained properly but with me now, I will train you and teach you , I want to see what you can become if you had trained as sasuke from the start.'
Ben offered patient guidance, correcting Naruto's form and encouraging him with every attempt."You're getting better, Naruto! Keep practicing like this, and you'll master it in no time,"
Ben encouraged, a proud smile forming as Naruto's stance improved.Their days became a blend of culinary experiments and impromptu training sessions.
Naruto soaked up Ben's teachings eagerly, his determination shining through as he strived to grasp the basics of ninja techniques.
As the sun set each day, they gathered around the dinner table, enjoying the fruits of their labor.
' the hokage hasn't tried to contact us till now from that day , I have a bad feeling about it, I wonder what he is planning,
The aroma of their joint cooking endeavors filled the house, accompanied by the laughter and warmth that filled their hearts.In this unexpected bond,
for Naruto, it was a sanctuary—a place where kindness, companionship, and newfound skills intertwined, offering a glimpse of the family he'd always yearned for.
Days turned into weeks, Ben's birthday passed he didn't do anything crazy like before with Naruto by his side he couldn't even throw a party and the other children stopped playing with him, except for ino, shikamru and choji so he just ended up giving them a treat.
their bond grew stronger as Ben and Naruto navigated their shared responsibilities and enjoyed moments of camaraderie.
The routine became their rhythm, marked by laughter, learning, and the aroma of meals prepared with care.One afternoon, as they sat in the backyard after a training session,
Naruto looked up at the sky with a curious expression. "Ben, can you show me more about chakra control? I heard it's essential for ninja stuff."
"Sure thing, Naruto! Chakra control is important. Let me demonstrate," Ben replied enthusiastically, preparing to impart one of the fundamental principles of ninja training.
Guiding Naruto through breathing exercises, Ben explained the concept of chakra control in simple terms. "Imagine your chakra as a stream of energy flowing through your body. Focus on directing it where you want."
Naruto closed his eyes, concentrating hard, attempting to channel his chakra as Ben had instructed. At first, it felt elusive,
but with Ben's patient guidance and encouragement, Naruto gradually felt a tingling sensation, a sign of his chakra responding."Whoa, did you feel that, Ben? I think I'm getting it!"
Naruto exclaimed with excitement, his eyes opening wide in wonder."You're doing great, Naruto! Practice makes perfect. Keep working on it,"
Ben encouraged, a sense of pride evident in his voice.Their training sessions became a regular occurrence,
each day bringing new discoveries and progress for Naruto. With Ben's guidance, Naruto honed his chakra control, a crucial skill for any aspiring ninja.
