Leiko turned his full, predatory gaze down onto Petra's constricted body.
"You made me wary. In a situation such as this, Grandfather taught me to reign in my instincts and not let my bloodlust consume me. Hence, I had to get creative... ensuring no variables or mistakes could be made."
Leiko looked down at Petra, who could now hardly breathe as the serpent-like tail coiled tighter around his ribs with relentless, crushing pressure.
"I can see your burning curiosity about what is happening to you," Leiko said, his red face unreadable. "Why hadn't you noticed? How did it get to this?"
He gave a slight shake of his head. "I can't answer that. You see, we live in a strange world where even in death, much can be learned and observed from it. The less you know, the better it is for everyone... but I can tell you why I consider you so dangerous."
Leiko glanced over at Petra, then slowly shifted his blood-red gaze toward Lunara, sitting frozen inside her glowing seal.
