We both put out tea cups down and looked at each other, our eyes still shifting slightly away from one another, but we did at least talk. Mainly so that we could avoid one of us exploding like I did.
"To be honest, I didn't… I didn't even think about how you might've felt after what happened. When I regained my memories, the most vivid thing that came from them was dying inside of you, and even then, those memories are rather hazy. I didn't think once about how you might've felt about the situation."
"Mmm…" There wasn't really much I could say in response to that. So instead, I tried comforting her, "Well, at least you were given a second chance, that's something, right?"
"Yeah, it is…." Shirayaa paused for a moment, looking at her reflection in her tea for a moment. "To be honest, I don't know why or for what reason I was revived. I'm not sure I ever will, but I am grateful that I get to spend my life with you once more."
