In most fantasy works, it is a hero profession at the pinnacle of the strength rankings, always popular and well-loved by people.
Of course, the vast majority of Dragon Knight novels are actually fictional, or rather, the Dragon Knights in those stories are not true Dragon Knights, after all, real Great Dragons are moving calamities, one of the Four Golden Races, not so easily subdued by people.
Most of the so-called Dragon Knights actually should more accurately be called Sub-Dragon Knights, as their mounts are mostly some kind of Sub-Dragon species, among which the most famous are the so-called Bipedal Flying Dragons.
The image of these powerful Sub-Dragons, with front limbs as Dragon's Wings and strong Dragon Claws at the back, capable of flying and breathing fire, is the closest representation of a "Great Dragon" in the minds of mortals.
