Yeager's POV
I still remember the time I resigned from the Imperial Demon Army 6 years ago.
[Flashback to six years ago...]
I was just a soldier in the IDA, but I felt that their promise of repopulating the Earth was a cover rather than a true one. What they were doing to their soldiers, like the experiments, was too cruel. I became distant and distasteful at their methods.
This collided with the higher-ups of the army, and Guren accused me of sedition, complacency, and violating their codes of conduct. I said, "You said you wanted to repopulate the Earth after humanity fell apart, yet what you're doing to the soldiers was stifling the chances of repopulation..."
I said that with a tone of defiance.
Because of that, I was dismissed, and I laid down my uniform and standard-issued weapon, and by tomorrow at sunrise, I left the cold atmosphere of the IDA in my casual clothes. I headed to Yokohama, and I started the RSA as a small base of operation with Clare and the first 5 soldiers who were survivors. As the months went by, we had claimed the entire jurisdiction of Yokohama. I had discovered that many of my new soldiers and fresh recruits had Elemental Spirits, the ones who took possession of their bodies a few days before the downfall of humanity. I wasn't weaponizing their powers; I was just utilizing their powers to create a sanctuary for survivors to live in and repopulate and reproduce. Yokohama was a start, and by the second year, we had expanded south of Yokohama. I had provided the utilities needed for them, though the scars on our area remain, and we still have work to do.
[Flashback ended...]
Staring at the points of Atsushi and the others on the screen, I remembered how much I had grown and evolved since my exit from the IDA. Now, I had discovered that the Recent Spirits can do the same thing Elemental ones do to humans before the Great Collapse. Now, I said to a newly recovered Aiko, now clad in a red RSA uniform, "Aiko-san, take care of the vampires in the City Hall. Regroup with Atsushi, Myeong, and Basuki and their IDA allies, but try not to let Guren-san see you."
"Yes, sir!" Aiko responded with a newfound purpose and loyalty before bolting out of the command center.
She is now riding a helicopter to the Nagoya City Hall.
Third person POV
Back in the desolate room, Yuichiro is still in withdrawal from taking Supplement Pills, and Mitsuba is livid over his stupidity. "You're so stupid!" she roared. "You could've been killed by taking two pills instead of one before we could rescue Guren-san!"
"Fine, slap my face, blondie." Yuichiro sneered at Mitsuba. "Go on."
Kimizuki thinks it was funny, while Atsushi and Myeong were scouring the surroundings.
"Not funny, four-eyes!" Yuichiro hissed at Kimizuki, while Shinya was mildly disappointed at Yuichiro's recklessness.
"This kid is so reckless..." Shinya gave a big sigh.
"Yuichiro-kun, we're worried sick for you last time," Atsushi responded to Yuichiro as Myeong tucked away her rosary into her red uniform. "Good thing Myeong and I are vessels of spirits, not prisoners to demons."
Yuichiro then let out a mock scoff. "Come on, we're surviving, right? Doesn't matter. Let's rescue Guren-san now."
As they and the Narumi squad continued, Basuki's group split into two: Lacus, René, and the other five vampires will pull their deception on Crowley, Chess, and the other vampires to make the rescue mission on Guren much easier, while Basuki and Mikaela will regroup with Atsushi, Yuichiro, and their group.
