Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: I WAS IN A COMA

Continue this story In the year 2023, Seoul, the bustling capital of Korea, was a city teeming with life and technological advancements. It was in this thriving metropolis that Daniela, a young woman, lay in a coma at Seoul National University Hospital. For two long years, she had been in a deep sleep with only the occasional visitor stopping by her bedside to check on her.

One day, as the sun poured through the hospital room's window hitting the face of a sleeping girl.

When Daniela woke up she noticed she was in a hospital and a nurse was beside her holding a syringe.

Her head throbbed with pain as she tried to regather her thoughts. She looked up at the nurse and tried to speak, but her voice croaked out hoarsely.

The nurse noticed her struggle and gently placed a hand on her forehead, "it's okay, Ms. Daniela. You've been in a coma for a few weeks. You're safe now."

As the nurse administered the syringe, Daniel's vision began to blur and she slipped back into unconsciousness.

When she woke up again, the room was empty, but she could hear voices from outside the door.

She tried to sit up, but sharp pain shot through her body, causing her to groan in agony. The voices outside the door grew louder and more panicked as they heard her cry out.

Suddenly, the door burst open and in rushed a group of people, all of them with worried expressions on their faces. Daniel recognized one of them as her third uncle. He rushed towards her bed, tears streaming down his face.

"Daniela, my dear Daniela," he choked out, "I'm so sorry. I should have been there for you."

Daniel was confused. Why was her

uncle apologizing? And why did she feel as though she had missed something important?

As if reading her thoughts, her uncle took a deep breath and began to explain. "You were in a car accident two years ago," he started, "and you've been in a coma ever since. We've been taking care of you all this time, hoping you would wake up."

Daniela's mind whirred as she tried to piece everything together. She remembered bits and pieces of her life before the accident, but it felt like a distant dream.

Her uncle continued, "We thought we were going to lose you. But you're a fighter, Daniela. You fought your way back to us."

Daniela slowly nodded, taking in the gravity of the situation. "What happened to the car, how did the crash happen?"

Her uncle sighed heavily, "It was a hit and run. The driver didn't stop and we couldn't find any witnesses. The police have been trying to find the culprit, but so far they've had no luck."

Daniela's heart sank as she realized that the person responsible for her condition was still out there

"uncle what about my family" "They're safe, Daniela. They're waiting for you at home. The family have been worried sick about you," her uncle said reassuringly.

Daniela felt a surge of relief wash over her. She had been so worried about her family this whole time.

"I want to go home," she said resolutely.

Her uncle smiled, "Of course, let me speak with the doctors and we will make arrangements to discharge you. But please, Daniela, take it easy. You need time to recover."

Daniela nodded."I will, I promise." She felt a sense of determination stab at her. She had lost two whole years of her life, and she wasn't going to waste any more time. She was going to get better and make the most of the time she had.

As her uncle excused himself to speak to the doctors, Daniela lay back on the bed and closed her eyes. Memories of when she was still in the coma, fighting the demon king and the betrayal of her traveling companions along with the death of four of her nearest friends at the hands of the companions flashed through her mind. It was all so vivid, so real. But now she was back in the real world, and she had a second chance at life. She vowed to make the most of it and not take anything for granted.

Daniela knew that her road to recovery would be long and difficult, but she was ready for the challenge. She would work hard to regain her strength and rebuild her life.

After a few hours, her uncle returned with good news. The doctors had agreed to discharge her on the condition that she undergoes physical therapy and regular check-ups. Daniela was elated. She couldn't wait to leave the hospital and get back to her old life.

The next day, Daniela was discharged, and her uncle helped her pack her things. She was filled with a sense of freedom as she stepped out of the hospital doors. She breathed in deeply the fresh air and looked up at the sky, feeling excited to go back home.

As daniela was helped into her uncles car she noticed a little boy with hair the same color as her own. She was confused as to who it was but when the boy turned his face daniela couldn't help but Yell "DAMIEN!?",yes the little boy as it turned out was her little brother that was with her during the car accident and was only saved by her efforts of cushioning him with her whole body Daniela couldn't believe it. Her little brother, whom she never thought would see grow up was sitting right there, alive and well. Tears streamed down her face as she embraced Damien tightly, unable to contain her joy.

As they drove back home, Daniela caught up with her brother, asking him about all the things she had missed while she was in a coma. Daniela listened attentively, soaking up every word. Daniela couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for this second chance at life.

after a few hours daniela noticed damiens face turning cold but before she could ask uncle had said they arrived home.

Getting out the car Daniela noticed there was no one to greet them back turning to her uncle and little brother she asked where mom and dad was along with their grandparents

Her uncle's face fell for a moment before he cleared his throat and spoke softly, "Daniela, there's something we need to tell you. Your mother didn't make it through the accident."

Daniela felt as though she had been punched in the gut. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her mind was racing with thoughts, and she felt like the world was spinning out of control.

Tears filled her eyes as Daniela absorbed the news. She felt her heart breaking into a million pieces. Her mom, the woman who raised her with such love and care was gone forever. Daniela was heartbroken and devastated by the loss of her mother. She couldn't imagine how she was going to go on without her in her life. Memories of her mother rushed through Daniela's mind, of all the moments they shared together, the advice her mother had given her, the encouragement she had provided, the love she had shown.

As tears continued to stream down her face,

For a moment, all Daniela could do was cry. She cried for her pa for her grandparents, and for herself. She cried for the life she had lost, and for the life she had been given back. She cried until she felt empty, until there were no more tears left to shed.

After a while, Daniela felt a hand on her shoulder, and she looked up to see her little brother, Damien. He looked up at her with concern, eyes with the look of understanding what she was going through. Then daniela realized while she was in a coma her little brother had experienced the same thing she was feeling.

Daniela wiped away her tears and gathered her strength. She knew that she had to be strong, for Damien's sake, for her own sake. She took a deep breath and turned to her uncle. "Uncle, please tell me everything. I need to know what happened."
