Two villains stepped forward: the agile girl and the man with the shockwave fists. They moved in perfect synchronisation, their confidence absolute.
"Ready to scream for me, pretty boy?" the girl sneered, her eyes flashing with a predatory hunger. She enjoyed the terror on Lucy's face, but she was watching Thomas's hands, waiting for him to try another trick.
"Watch out!" Thomas barked.
He didn't have the power to stop them, but his military-trained reflexes were operating on a level far above his D-rank status.
