Class 1-A Dorms
The Living Room
The TV in the living room was broadcasting the local news.
"It's been a week since the attack on U.A. took place. An attack involving three high-profile individuals. The individuals in question being Rikiya Yotsubashi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Detnerat Company, the leader of the Shie Hassaikai, Kai Chisaki, and Tomura Shigaraki the leader of the League of Villains. Rikiya Yotsubashi lost his life while Kai Chisaki remains detained. The whereabouts of Tomura Shigaraki are currently unknown. The attacks left the area in shambles. One can only wonder: how safe is hero society if such an attack could happen?"
For more on this story, we go live to a reporter at the school where the incident occurred."
U.A. High
"Yeah, yeah, I already put in my two weeks' notice… No, I don't know why I'm still here. I want to quit this stupid job already!" The reporter said, frustration clear in her voice as she paced around with a phone pressed to her ear.
"You're live, by the way." The cameraman whispered, wearing a sly grin.
"You—!" The reporter's face turned red as a tomato. She quickly shoved her phone into her back pocket and took a deep breath to compose herself.
"We are coming to you live from U.A. High, where an attack that will undoubtedly go down in history occurred just a week ago, clips from a few hours after the battle will be shown now, viewer discretion is advised."
As she spoke, the scene shifted to a montage of destruction: crumbled buildings, villains being arrested, students, civilians, and teachers being rushed to hospitals. One clip showed Aizawa being loaded into an ambulance. The feed then cuts back to the reporter.
"The government and pro heroes have made numerous promises to prevent such incidents from happening again. However, not long ago, we witnessed a similar event involving All Might and the supervillain All for One. With these disasters happening so close together, one must ask, are these coincidences, or signs of a much darker future? We'll have more on this later."
Suddenly, the TV turned off. The dark screen reflected Bakugo's scowling face.
"What a bunch of bullshit…" he muttered angrily, pushing himself up from the couch. He had seen enough bad press that it annoyed him even more than his usual quota of annoyance. It wasn't like they asked to be attacked at night, no less by three criminal organizations. It was a nightmare and a half to calm his parents, the government officials, the police, and anyone else that decided to rain on their already ruined parade. And now they had the press to deal with on top of it all!
Bakugo entered the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea to calm his nerves. As he entered it, he heard a familiar cluttering of pots and pans. Every time he heard it he always wondered.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
Luffy popped his head up to greet Bakugo with a smile and a wave, various ingredients in his hands. "Hey boom boy!"
Bakugo nearly snapped at Luffy's nickname before he physically deflated..
After his battle with Twice's clones, he dropped dead immediately from exhaustion. He had woken up in the hospital the next day with his head throbbing and his body feeling as heavy as lead. He was told by the police about the other battles during his time there. And hearing about Luffy's battle, Momo fighting Toga alone, and Aizawa nearly losing his eye. . Truth is he was concerned, not that he'll ever let anyone know. But hearing about how instrumental Luffy was to their success, he figured he could give Luffy some leeway.
So he simply scoffed."You couldn't find your way around a kitchen even if your life depended on it."
"Hey! I'm not that bad." Luffy retorted, insulted that his culinary genius was insulted, he only almost burned a kitchen twice after all.
"Yeah, right." Bakugo chuckled. "Now move, I need some tea in my system."
As Bakugo got started on his tea and Luffy began concocting whatever the hell it was that smelt like burnt orange juice, Momo came down the stairs.
"Hey Lu! Hello Bakugo. How are you today?" Momo smiled as he greeted the two boys.
"Hi Momo!" Luffy said as he extended his hand to give Momo a high five, which she happily decided to accept. Something she couldn't imagine doing six months ago.
Bakugo grumbled a 'morning' back, not even bothering to look back to her.
Momo expected as much so she just shook her head in indignation. "It's been a pretty exciting week, hasn't it?"
"More like annoying than exciting." Bakugo responded with a huff. "It's like–It's not even our fault so why are we treated worse than the bad guys!"(bakugo is a girls girl -HM)
Momo shared the same feelings of annoyance.
"It's just a ploy to divert attention, no? Since they are already blaming the villains, the civilians are tired of blaming them. They can't blame the government so they're blaming the next best thing, which is us." Momo shared her thoughts on the matter. Politics wasn't a particular pleasant topic to discuss.
"Fuckin' politics." Bakugo grumbled, aware that he couldn't do anything, anything legal anyway, so he'd just whine. It's one of the only things he can do.
"Who's politics?" Luffy is as clueless as ever and the other 2 just sigh and shake their heads.
The top of the U.A.
The top of the U.A. building. A sudden bright light appeared in the morning glow of the sun, the light formed into a big circle. And then it started swirling like a vortex, not pulling something in, but tossing something out.
A second later, a pair of boots stepped out, followed by 8 more. A swordsman, a sniper, a chef, a navigator, a doctor, an archeologist, a shipwright, a musician and a helmsman walked out of the circle.
"...Where the hell are we?" The swordsman said in his usual fashion.
"Great, Mosshead got lost again. And now we're lost too!" The chef said as he facepalmed.
"All I did was take two steps, Lovecook!" The swordsman retaliated as a small blush of embarrassment spread across his face.
A couple of seconds later and their foreheads were butting into each other while making several grunting noises. (not yaoi yes yaoi)
"Wow, what is this place?" The navigator said as she walked over to the edge of the building, looking down she noticed a ton of destruction along with people, metallic cubes and a ton more city blocks.
"And what's up with all the rubble? Did something happen?!" The doctor worriedly said as he jumped around the rooftop.
"Let's focus on the important part! Zoro, Sanji, Let's focus our haki to locate the captain." The helmsman said as he tried to stop the incoming fight between the two wings.
Hearing what the helmsman said, Zoro and Sanji, begrudgingly, stopped butting their heads and closed their eyes to focus on Luffy's haki.
As the men proficient in haki started to focus, the other part of the crew tried to make sense of this strange new world.
"It looks rather advanced." The archeologist said as she used her powers to sprout eyes to get a better look of their surroundings. "Maybe not as advanced as Vegapunk's island but still, it's quite impressive."
"Yeah, even from afar, I can tell that there's something special about those things." The giant Shipwright said as he pointed his massive finger at the nearby cars.
"Even the people look weird." The sniper said as he used his goggles to, not at all creepily, take a gander at the people rushing around. "What a weird place Luffy got lost in."
"Found him!" The cook suddenly said as he bolted upwards, and walked to one side of the building. The rest of the crew, even the swordsman, followed him. "He's somewhere in that area." He said as he pointed towards an archipelago of apartments off to the side of the building that they were on.
"Right, let's go get him and go back home!" The sniper said as he zoomed in to where the cook was pointing at. "My Afraid-to-explore-disease is making a reappearance."
The rest of the crew nodded in agreement, not to the last part, and they started to move towards the door which seemed to go into the building.
The Corridor.
"Alright everyone, Listen up!" Nami says as she's leading the crew, Sanji by her left side and Robin by her right. She turns to Zoro. "Absolutely NO splitting up."
"Why are you looking at me?!" Zoro says irritated from his spot in the middle of the protective bubble the crew has formed around Zoro. Protection from himself getting lost that is. Everyone, realizing what Nami is trying to say, turn to Zoro, Sanji sporting a rather high and mighty shit eating grin.
"This isn't just another island, it's another WORLD okay? We cannot afford losing another crewmember." Nami says without taking her eyes off of Zoro. "I'm looking at you Zoro."
"I NOTICED!!" Zoro infuriated, says as half of the crew either laugh softly or shake their heads at him.
Nami gets back to walking down the stairs, through the corridors and trying her best to navigate this building. As they walk a knot forms in their gut as they look toward the demolished buildings, uprooted trees and massive scorch marks on the ground. Nami, knowing how carefree Luffy is, hopes Luffy isn't too carefree this time and she definitely hopes that all of this isn't caused by Luffy, a sentiment shared by the whole crew *Luffy, you better not be causing trouble–*
"Hold on, Nami-san." Sanji said suddenly, his voice unusually serious as he reached out and gently pulled her back by the shoulder, stepping in front of her.
"Someone's here."
The group froze.
A single bead of sweat slid down the foreheads of the cowardly trio.
Then, the sound of quick, soft footsteps echoed down the hall, light, rhythmic, almost like Chopper's, someone was running toward them.
"What?" Zoro said as he deadpanned at the tiny creature that appeared.
That person turned out to be a… mink? The group guessed. A small polar rat thing in a sharply dressed suit. He couldn't have been taller than Chopper in his brain point, but the crew were still on high alert.
"Who are you? This area is under repair and nobody is allowed… here…" Nezu stopped himself as he noticed a person often described by Luffy. Truth be told, Luffy talks about a lot of people but his crew in particular and the first person Nezu recognized was none other than the giant skeleton. "Wait, you couldn't be… Brook?"
"Yo ho, seems like I am famous in multiple worlds." Brook said which only seemed to stun the fuzzy creature more, Nezu not chopper.
"Which would make you Nami… and Franky… and Jimbei… and Robin… Oh boy." Nezu said as his paw began to rub at his eyes in frustration. *So much time and resources are now completely wasted…*
The crew began to relax at seeing this animal rub his face in exasperation. "Wait, how do you know us?" Chopper said as he stepped forward and met one of the only other beings that was actually eye level with him.
"Your captain Luffy is pretty proud of his crew." Nezu said before his wristwatch caught his eye and remembered why he was running. "Anyway, I'm running late for a meeting! If you want to meet your captain go to that dorm room." Nezu hurriedly said as he ran to a nearby window and pointed to one of the dorms.
The crew followed his finger and immediately spotted it. It was the most damaged building in sight, clearly hit harder than the rest. A vast section of the building was entirely obliterated, leaving a jagged half block, with only the main floor intact. The remaining rooms clung to the structure like fragile remnants, their edges scorched and charred by flames. Cracked windows, some shattered beyond recognition, punctuated the walls, transforming what were once clear panes into gaping voids. These empty frames resembled hollow eye sockets, peering into the chaotic disarray that lay within each room. Inside, the devastation was palpable, painting a stark picture of the destruction that had taken place.
"Hold on! Who even are you?!" Zoro called after him, being the only one that didn't move towards the window.
But Nezu didn't stop. Too busy to explain, he just dashed around the corner and vanished.
"Tch. He ran away." Zoro muttered with a grunt.
As he turned back to the others, he noticed the crew was now crowded around the window, staring at the building with different expressions.
Nami and Chopper looked shocked. Usopp was visibly shaking. The rest wore stoic faces, well, as stoic as Brook could get. The stoic ones could hide their expression pretty well, but Zoro already knew the tell for each of them. Sanji's long drag from his cigarette, Robin's almost invisible jaw clench, Franky's low grunt, Jimbei folding his arms and Brook's teeth chatter, all betrayed their inner turmoil. Zoro felt their collective tension.
Each of them had the same thought running through their heads.
*Luffy... what did you do this time?*
Zoro wasn't always the brightest, or the most strategic, or the most directionally apt but he knew his crew and he knew that the longer they kept being in their minds, the more broken they'll become.
"That's enough you guys." Zoro said, suddenly pulling each individual Straw Hat from their minds. "Thinking about it won't do you any good, so get a grip and let's move. It doesn't matter what state Luffy will look like when we find him or how he messed up, all that matters is that we get him back and we will do it without fail." This seemed to pull each person back to reality. "Because he's our captain."
Every person nodded at this, steeling their resolve and marching forward. Whatever world their captain had fallen into, they wouldn't mess around.
"All right, you know the drill." Nami's voice echoed as she shouldered through the splintered hallway, smoothing her hair after. "Zoro, you're with me. Sanji, stay with the rear. If you see anything weird, don't engage."
"I could've led no problem if you'd just let me." Zoro muttered, but Nami ignored him, already halfway down the corridor.
After a few more flights of stairs, the crew finally reached what looked like a cafeteria. At least, it used to be one.
There weren't any students in sight. Just adults of various shapes and sizes rushing around, repairing the damage.
Deciding wisely not to interfere, the Straw Hats kept moving, slowly but steadily making their way to the doorstep of the dorm room. Seeing the damage from afar was one thing, but actually being and having to step over cracks in the ground was another matter entirely.
Soon, they reached the ruined building Luffy was supposedly in.
Before anyone could knock, Robin crossed her arms and calmly summoned an eye to scout the interior. A few more eyes bloomed around the room as the others waited in silence, watching her with anticipation.
After a moment, Robin let a small smile tug at her lips. She lowered her arms and murmured. "He never changes, does he?"
"What do you mean, Robin?" Nami asked, intrigued.
But Robin only gave a light, dismissive wave and gestured toward the door, clearly inviting someone else the honor of knocking.
Zoro stepped forward, annoyed by the cryptic act. "Fine, I'll do it—"
But Sanji quickly pulled him back. "Hold it, Mosshead. You'll scare whoever's inside into jumping out the window. Let me."
"Hell no you won't—"
Before Zoro could finish, Nami stepped between them, pushing Sanji back. "If it's a girl, you'll just make her lock the door!"
"Whatever you say, Mademoiselle." Sanji said with a dramatic bow, completely unfazed.
Nami rolled her eyes at his antics and stepped past him to the door. She knocked her knuckles against the wood. knock, knock, knock.
"I'll get it." a calm, feminine voice called from inside.
A few seconds later, the door swung open to reveal a young woman with raven-black hair tied in a neat ponytail. Dressed in casual loungewear and cradling a steaming cup of coffee, she carried an air of intelligence and composure, at least, until her eyes landed on her visitors. Her expression shifted instantly from polite curiosity to pure shock.
Nami, momentarily caught off guard by the girl's presence, quickly composed herself and offered a warm, apologetic smile. "Sorry to bother you—"
"Oh my god…" the girl whispered.
Her fingers went slack. The cup slipped from her grasp.
But before the ceramic could shatter against the floor, Sanji blurred into motion. He caught the cup with practiced ease, not spilling a drop.
"Careful. You dropped this, sweet lady." he said smoothly, placing the cup back into her trembling hands with a gentle smile.
The girl, however, wasn't looking at the cup. Her eyes flicked rapidly between the crew members until they locked onto the cook.
"San…ji?" she asked. The name felt surreal on her tongue, even though she'd heard Luffy say it countless times.
"At your service," Sanji replied softly. He dropped his usual flirtatious tone, noticing the storm of emotion swirling in her eyes. "Are you alright?"
Momo looked as though she were cycling through the five stages of grief in real-time.
"Is… is everyone here?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"Um, yeah—" Nami began, but she never got the chance to finish.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
The sudden, piercing shriek made every Straw Hat flinch. Before they could react, Momo broke into a wide, tearful smile and lunged forward.
"What the—?!" Zoro started, only to be cut off as Momo grabbed his wrist. She snagged Robin with her other hand and dragged them both inside with surprising force.
"Come in! Quickly! Luffy's been dying to see you all!"
Zoro struggled to free himself, careful not to crush her wrist but clearly confused. "Let go! How the hell is she this strong?!"
Robin merely chuckled behind her hand. "Fufufufu."
The rest of the crew followed them into the hallway. Despite the damage visible on the exterior of the building, the interior was surprisingly well-maintained.
"Momo! What's wrong?!"
The shout cut through the noise, halting everyone's thoughts. The voice was unmistakable. Fast, urgent footsteps echoed down the corridor.
"I heard… screaming…"
Luffy skidded around the corner. Then, he froze.
There they were. Face-to-face.
Time seemed to stand still for the rubber captain. He couldn't believe his eyes. He had fantasized about this moment countless times, dreaming of their return, but the reality felt shockingly surreal. He stood rooted to the spot, afraid to blink.
"...Guys?" The word caught in his throat. He took a hesitant step forward, terrified that if he moved too fast, the dream would shatter.
The crew was taken aback. They had expected Luffy to be jumping up and down with joy, shouting and laughing. This quiet, fragile reaction was unnerving.
"Oi, Luffy! What the hell are you doing here?" Zoro asked brazenly. His lack of social grace was truly a sight to behold. "Let's get back to Egghead—"
Zoro couldn't finish his sentence. Luffy launched himself forward, wrapping Zoro and the nearest crew members in a desperate, suffocating embrace.
"Argh! What are you doing?!" Nami yelped, struggling to breathe.
"Dammit, Luffy!" Zoro grunted, trying to handle the recoil of a rubber man flying at him at full speed. "Let go—huh?"
"WAAAHHHHH!!"
The floodgates opened. Luffy buried his face in them and began to bawl, his tears splashing onto anyone caught in the crossfire. "I missed you guys sooooo much!!!!"
If the crew had been on high alert before, they were completely bewildered now. Even Zoro stopped struggling, unsure of how to handle this level of raw emotion.
"But Luffy, we were only gone for—" Nami tried to reason with him, but Luffy only cried harder. His grip tightened, his rubber limbs stretching to hold them all, as if relaxing for even a second meant losing them again.
"Waaaaah!! I missed your voices!" Luffy sobbed.
"I don't get it, we were only gone for a couple of days, max!" Usopp said, looking to Robin for answers. She only shrugged, equally perplexed.
Meanwhile, Momo watched the reunion with misty eyes, until she heard Usopp.
"Wait. days?" she asked the sniper.
Usopp nodded, confused.
"Oh boy." Momo reached out, bracing her hand against the wall for support.
The entire crew turned to look at her, though Zoro was still half-buried in Luffy's hug.
"You've been gone a lot longer than that," Momo said quietly.
The gravity of her tone made the air grow heavy.
"What Vegapunk said…" Jinbe murmured, realization dawning on his face.
"How long?" Nami asked, her expression turning serious.
"Well… let's see." Momo covered her face with her hand, trying to calculate. "Luffy appeared about a week before the entrance exam. That was back in February. Which means… eight months. It's been around eight months."
The crew's faces fell, but the Class 1-A students were even more shaken. "Eight months..." Uraraka breathed, her hand over her mouth. "Luffy-kun has been living through a war for almost a year, all while waiting for a door that might never open?" Even Iida, usually so composed, looked down at his feet. "We thought he was just a strange transfer student. We had no idea he was a castaway from another reality."
Luffy, still in turmoil, continued to hang onto them for dear life, his sobs racking his body. They knew their captain. They knew he could adapt to anything, that he could survive anywhere. They had been separated before, for longer than this.
But before, they had always been in the same world. They had always been reachable, a crewmember could always track the others down, but this… To be stranded in a different dimension, completely alone, with no way to contact them and no idea if he would ever see them again…
Eight months of silence.
Suddenly, the crew didn't mind the crushing strength of Luffy's hug anymore. One by one, they stopped struggling and leaned into the embrace.
After a couple of minutes, Luffy finally managed to calm down and let go of his crew, his sobs becoming faint hiccups. "You guys have no idea how much I missed you." This got Luffy thinking again about his crew, even though they were in front of him, and he started sobbing once again. "WAAAHH!! I missed you guys sooo MUCH!!"
A couple of teardrops appeared on some of the crewmates while others broke down and jumped at the opportunity to hug him, namely Franky, Usopp, and Chopper. Nearby, Eri walked up hesitantly and offered a small, clean handkerchief to the crying reindeer. "Don't be sad, Mr. Raccoon," she said softly. Chopper wailed louder, "I'M A REINDEER!! BUT THANK YOU!!"
Momo was shaking her head, though a small smile made it to her lips.
"Welp, glad to see Luffy hasn't changed." Nami said as she made her way to where Momo was leaning against the wall. They were now both looking at the couple of grown ass men, and chopper, crying in each other's arms.
Momo turned to the red-haired woman next to her, extending her hand for a handshake. "Oh, how rude of me, I don't think I've properly introduced myself. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu, you can just call me Momo. It's a pleasure to meet you!"
Nami returned her smile and her handshake. "I'm Nami. The ship's navi-"
"Navigator. Yes, I know. We ALL know." Momo said with a quiet laugh. "Lu was more than happy to let everybody know of his crew's stories."
"...Lu?" Nami said with a questioning tone. This made Momo instantly go red in the face.
"Y-Yes, well, I mean, yeah," Momo stammered, her usual composure slipping away entirely. Watching Momo struggle only made Nami's grin widen into a full-on shit-eating grin. "I-It's just that... it's kind of a long story and I-I don't—"
"Hahaha! Don't worry, I'm just messing with ya!" Nami laughed, draping an arm around Momo's shoulder. Now in a whisper. "Soooo," Nami stretched out the 'o' as much as she could. "Luffy, huh?"
"Oh no, no, no. It's not like that." Momo said, quickly regaining her composure. "I see him more as a little brother."
"Guess that makes us sisters!" Nami said as the arm draped over Momo's shoulders turned into a full-blown hug. "I've always wanted a little sister!!"
As Momo was currently under attack in a non-consensual hug, not that she minded, a couple of her classmates ran down as they heard the constant crying and screaming.
"What the hell is happening here?!" Bakugo bellowed out as he rounded the corner only to see what he could only describe as a circus. Izuku, Todoroki, Mina and a few others were with him.
"Oh, relax. What could be so ba-" Mina said only to be left with her mouth hanging wide open as she noticed the giant cyborg, skeleton and an avatar cosplayer. With actual gills!
"Fellow classmates," Momo said, trying to speak while being muffled by Nami's huge bo... personality. Sanji would call it heaven. "Meet Luffy's crew. They've come quite a long way." Behind her, little Eri peeked out from behind Izuku's leg, her wide eyes moving from the giant skeleton to the mechanical man. "Are they... heroes too?" she whispered, her voice tiny but curious.
The classmates were left with their jaws hitting the ground. Even Todoroki's stoic mask faltered. "A skeleton... that hums?" Tokoyami muttered, his own shadow, Dark Shadow, emerging to stare at Brook in fascination. Their eyes darted from Sanji smoking to Robin politely watching, and finally to Zoro. "What? Do I got something on my face?" the swordsman grunted, making Mineta shriek and hide behind Shoji.
Izuku promptly passed out.
Bakugo, who had stopped his bellowing only to stare at the impossible figures, finally snapped back to aggression. "What the hell is going on, you rubberbrain? Who are these cosplayers, and why are you weeping like a baby right after we had to deal with the press?!" He started advancing toward Luffy, a glare in his eye.
Before anyone else could chime in, Momo, now out of Nami's embrace, stepped forward with a rare, icy glare directed squarely at her classmate. "Bakugo," she said, her voice low and sharp, "shut up. You do not talk to my guests that way. Not right now." The sheer authority in her tone, combined with the fact that she was defending Luffy, shocked him into silence.
Normally she wouldn't have been this aggressive, but knowing Luffy and his teary past, literally, she had come to develop a soft spot for him during these rare moments. This impressed the crew. (+2 on the friendship sims bar)
The crew exchanged bewildered glances. Zoro just crossed his arms with a skeptical frown, while Sanji put out his existing one, thinking that smoking around teenagers isn't probably the best idea.
The Class 1-A students, still reeling from the sight of the Straw Hats, began whispering amongst themselves. "Months?" Mina murmured to Kirishima. "He's always telling those crazy stories about the 'Grand Line' and a talking reindeer… no way are those stories real."
Sero nudged Todoroki. "They are real, dude. Look at the skeleton! And the cyborg!" Sero said.
Luffy finally settled, his heavy sobs dissolving into hiccups as he repeated, "I missed you guys so, so much." The class watched, stunned, slowly connecting the dots: the impossible figures in front of them were the legendary, and apparently real, Straw Hat Pirates from Luffy's tales.
Momo, seeing the sheer exhaustion in Luffy and the wide-eyed awe of her classmates, clapped her hands together once. "Alright, everyone. This is a lot to process. Let's talk in the living room."
The Living Room
The massive, rubbery group hug had finally dispersed. The Class 1-A students, after a few stunned moments, had discreetly retreated to the edges of the room. The Straw Hats were sprawled across the furniture, a mixture of relief and bewilderment.
Luffy, finally calming down from his emotional explosion, started excitedly recounting his recent adventures. Chopper and Usopp were, naturally, glued to his every word. "So, there was this huge giant guy and I sent him packing to…"
Luffy paused, looking vaguely confused. "Um… Where did he end up?"
Momo, sensing Luffy's eyes on her, decided to provide the answer using her phone. "Actually, I've seen this recent article in the U.S.A." She quickly pulled up the image of Gigantomachia suspended mid-air and reluctantly held out the sleek device for the crew. "Apparently Gigantomachia was spotted there, and apprehended by the number one hero: Star and Stripe."
The class reacted with impressed 'ooh's, Luffy looked confused, and Izuku's eyes predictably sparkled.
What followed, however, was a nightmare for Momo.
The first to snatch the device was Nami, who held it between two fingers like a bizarre, alien relic, which, to be fair, it was to her. This instantly made Momo's heart pound. Before she could voice her concern, the pressure on the screen caused it to jitter rapidly. Nami yelped, startled by the unexpected movement, and threw it with a shriek: "AAhh!"
Momo lunged for it, missing by an inch, only for Brook to catch it effortlessly.
"Woah, impressive painting," he said, scratching the glass with a long, bony finger. 'Please, just give it back!' Momo silently pleaded, taking a hesitant step forward.
"No, no. It's not a painting, it's a screen!" Franky boomed, extending his smaller yellow hand from his massive red one to snatch the phone away. Momo winced as her personal property was manhandled. "Although i've never seen one so small." He then proceeded to jab at the screen repeatedly with his metallic finger, a frown spreading across his face. "Umm… I think it's broken."
"It's not broken, Franky." Robin said calmly, sprouting a hand from Franky's arm to delicately pluck the phone from his grasp before Momo could intervene. Izuku, meanwhile, was completely foaming at the mouth and mumbling about the possible applications of her 'quirk,' while several other classmates looked visibly freaked out.
Momo took a deep, shaky breath, about to ask for it back, when Robin continued her inspection. "It has to make contact with skin. see." Robin demonstrated, tracing a finger across the screen. "Oh."
Robin's eyes widened faintly as she accidentally dragged her finger all the way to the home screen. The background was a picture of Momo and Luffy smiling widely together. "I don't think I was supposed to see that." Robin murmured, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
That was the last straw. Momo instantly turned a blazing scarlet and rushed forward, desperately trying to shield the screen with her hand. "Will you please stop looking through my phone. It's private!" she squeaked, her composure completely shattered. Cheeks red as a tomato.
This got a good laugh from most of the crewmates and class.
Luffy wasn't bothered by the commotion, and went back to telling his story. "Anyway… Where was I?"
"Something about a giant." Franky helped.
"Oh Wait! I gotta tell ya'll about this guy with a creepy hand on his face, he's super annoying." Luffy said with a wave of his hand. "What was his name? Shiki…"
"Shigaraki." Izuku popped up. The serious tone with which he said it drew the crew's attention. "He is this world's supervillain. Well, I mean Japan, but you know."
"And Japan is?" Nami asked. Always ready to learn more about geography, be it this world or any other.
"It's a huge island!" Luffy said with an exaggerated wave of his arms. "It's the island we're standing on right now."
"Technically Japan is an archipelago." Momo helpfully chimed in. "What Luffy meant is that this country is called Japan."
She got a couple of Ooh's from the crew, especially from Franky, Jinbei and Sanji. Nami was drooling at the mouth.
"Please tell me you have a map!" Nami said as she took Momo's hand in her own.
"Sure!" Momo was more than ready to fulfill a request from Luffy's crewmates. Eager to get their approval.
She stretched out her arm, a purplish glow started to come from it and suddenly, just like a printer, a fully colored map of the Japan archipelago appeared in a matter of seconds.
"WOW!!! That's amazing!" Nami bounced in excitement. "Let me see it!" And now her excitement completely switched to the map.
"Incredible!!! You mean to tell me you can just make any map you want?" Usopp said, eyes sparkling.
"Not JUST maps." Momo said with a wave of her finger. "I can make anything I want!" She said with her chest held high and her hand on her hips. Clearly feeling very proud of herself. "As long as I know the way it's made, the chemicals needed and I have enough energy."
"Isn't she just the best!" Luffy said as he draped his arm around her shoulder.
"That's quite an impressive devil fruit you have!" Jinbei said with a hearty laugh.
"Not a devil fruit." Izuku popped out once more. "Luffy explained to us the concept of devil fruits, but here it's pretty different."
"Here people are born with power." Bakugo said as he was leaning against the wall, looking pretty detached from the conversation but obviously wasn't.
"Most of us." Izuku said with a weird sad tone. Weird for everybody else besides those who knew the truth, and us.
"We call 'em quirks!" Mina said with her peppy attitude.
"A good chunk of them are pretty bad though." Kirishima said before stretching his hand forward and hardening it. "We're the lucky ones."
"From a bureaucratic standpoint, overseeing this must be a nightmare." Robin remarked, her brow furrowing slightly as she considered the logistical implications.
"That's what heroes are for." Iida popped up. "Here, heroes are employed members of the government working in tandem with the police to regulate society."
"They always help in case of emergencies," Momo said, starting to count on her fingers.
"Crime-fighting!" Bakugo said with a devilish grin.
"Or help old ladies cross the street." Ochako said with a hand raised up.
"But a hero's main job is to deter the criminal element." Iida said while adjusting his glasses. This reminded the crew of the warlords back home.
"To stand in the face of evil, to inspire people, to be a symbol of peace and to say–" Izuku said before getting cut off.
"I AM HERE!" All-Might burst through the door in his giant form before deflating instantly, cutting off Izuku's speech as he got a more and more determined expression which grew on his face, one the crew knew quite well from seeing it in Luffy so much.
*Clap, clap, clap,* Multiple claps were heard after this whole theatrical performance.
"I don't know if that was planned, but it was pretty cool." Ussop said, clearly very impressed.
"What was?" All-might, now completely deflated said as he got closer to the crew.
Izuku, still buzzing from being interrupted, quickly rushed to explain. "That's All Might! He's the retired Symbol of Peace, and until very recently, he was the Number One Hero in all of Japan!"
The crew's casual demeanor instantly shifted. Number One Hero. That title carried weight, even in a different world.
"The Number One, huh?" Zoro muttered.
Jinbe, always respectful of power and authority, stepped forward. "All-Might, It is an honor to meet someone who held such an important position."
Sanji, having had, or rather his family, had a complicated history with heroes, he decided to keep a vigilant eye out, still not too sure if he could trust these people or not.
Chopper, ever the doctor, took one look at All-Might state, and even his earlier transformation, and quickly ran up to him. "Um, Mr. All-Might, can I ask what happened to you?"
"Well, aren't you adorable?" All-Might said before suddenly remembering. "Oh wait, you're the doctor that's right. You don't need to worry, I'm in the best shape of my life, haha!"
All Might gave a weary but genuine smile. "It's a pleasure to meet Luffy's crew. He certainly talks about you all enough."
Nami stepped up, her business sense momentarily overridden by genuine emotion. "We owe you a huge debt of gratitude, All Might, Luffy was alone here for eight months. Thank you for looking after our captain."
Jinbei offered a formal, deep handshake. Zoro simply met his eyes and gave a curt, respectful nod. Franky offered a massive, jarring high-five.
All Might received their thanks with a mixture of humility and pride. "He's an extraordinary young man." he said, looking over at Luffy, who was also looking at him with a toothy grin. "But the praise shouldn't be mine alone."
All Might glanced toward the gathered students, his expression soft. "The credit belongs to these young heroes, the rest of the faculty, and most of all to their teacher, Aizawa. They are the ones who truly earned this recognition."
"Enough with all the emotions!" Luffy shouted, jumping onto the coffee table. "Right now, enough sad talk! My crew is here, and I'm hungry! THAT MEANS IT'S TIME FOR A PARTY!!!"
A Few Hours Later
The U.A. dorms had never seen anything like it. The air was thick with the mouth-watering aroma of garlic, spices, and roasting meat as Sanji took command of the kitchen with terrifying efficiency. He moved like a whirlwind, four pans sizzling at once while he barked instructions at Bakugo, who had begrudgingly stepped in to help.
"Chop those vegetables faster, spiky-hair!" Sanji commanded, tossing a garnish into the air. Despite his attitude, the students were mesmerized by his technique. Ochako and Mina were busy setting out massive platters of food, while little Eri helped by carrying a stack of light napkins to the table. Franky and Kaminari worked together to set up a light show using a combination of tech and electricity.
Luffy was at the center of the chaos, a piece of meat in each hand, laughing as he dodged Nami's attempts to keep him away from the dessert table. Brook had found a guitar and was playing a lively tune he had found from the internet, that had Jiro watching with stars in her eyes.
Through one of Brook pauses from his constant singing, Nami quickly approached him. "So, you're having fun?"
"Oh, yes. The legendary musicians of this world are truly a sight to behold, I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I can't believe this man was deaf while writing this." Brook said as he studied the sheet music.
"It sounds lovely." Nami said before looking at Luffy, a sad expression hit her face then.
"You haven't told him yet, have you?" Brook said, instantly picking up on his crewmate's change in emotions.
"Not yet." Nami said, her gaze locked onto Luffy before looking down at a sophisticated piece of gadget on her wrist. "I'll tell him tonight, I just have to find the right moment."
"You have our support." Brook said as he put a bony hand on her shoulders. His gaze turned to Luffy.
Luffy, his cheeks bulging with Sanji's cooking, eventually found himself a perch on top of a stack of gym mats the students had dragged in for seating. Surrounded by a captivated audience including Deku, Kirishima, and even a stoic Todoroki, he began acting out his battle with Kaido. "And then, I became a giant!" he shouted, his arms expanding to nearly hit the ceiling fans. "I grabbed the lightning and went ZIP-ZAP!" The Class 1-A students leaned in.
Across the room, Chopper was having the time of his life. He had transformed into his Guard Point and was currently being passed around by Tsuyu and Toru. Even Eri sat nestled in the soft fur, a small, genuine smile lighting up her face as she patted the fluff. "So soft." she giggled.
"I'm not a pet! I'm a doctor!" Chopper protested, though his flushed cheeks and wagging tail suggested he didn't mind the attention at all.
Nearby, Jinbe was engaged in a deep conversation with Shoji and Tokoyami, discussing the philosophy of strength and the burden of protecting one's comrades. The three of them stood like pillars of calm amidst the frantic energy of the younger students.
Usopp, never one to let Luffy have all the glory, had cornered Sero and Kaminari, weaving a tall tale about his army of eight thousand followers and the time he defeated a ten-ton hammer with nothing but a rubber band.
"It was a dark and stormy night on the Grand Line," he whispered conspiratorially, his long nose twitching with every exaggeration. Sero and Kaminari exchanged looks of pure awe, hanging onto every word of the "God" sniper's fabricated legend, while Robin watched from the shadows, her eyes crinkling in silent amusement at her crewmate's antics.
Zoro suddenly ran in the room. "Where the hell is that damn bathroom?!"
"We told you 3 times already!!" Nami said with an exasperated sigh. "Up the stairs, second door on the left!" (Fun Fact: this is the instructions to get to my dorm's bathroom, so I thought it'd be appropriate here.)
"Damn." Zoro said before running up the stairs and then, SOMEHOW, still appearing at the door. "This whole place is a damn maze!" He said before running in the complete wrong direction. Multiple people started to laugh at the crew's antics, with Eri letting out a bright giggle at the swordsman's confusion.
As the night wore on, the initial shock of the Straw Hats' arrival faded into a warm, chaotic camaraderie.
The dorms, which had felt so heavy with the weight of the previous week's battle and the constant pressure of the press, were now filled with a vibrant, life-affirming joy. It was exactly the kind of medicine Class 1-A needed, and as Luffy's laughter echoed through the halls, it felt as though the future might not be so dark after all.
In Robin's little corner, Momo appeared and leaned on the wall nearby. "I like Luffy's crew, the straw hat pirates." Momo said which suddenly got Robin's attention
"Thank you." Robin said calmly.
"It's filled with people like Luffy," She said as she looked at Chopper, Ussop, Nami, brook and Sanji. "People of strong character." She said as she looked at Jinbei, Zoro, and at Robin. "And sensing that you are the most mature out of all of them, I just have to ask, how can Luffy be so comfortable killing?"
"Why do you ask that?" Robin said, now giving Momo her full undivided attention.
"Well… there have been a couple of moments," Flashes of Toga and Gang Orca flew through Momo's mind. "To say the least. The thing is that, as heroes, we are taught that killing is never even an option, and not just heroes but every child knows this concept, it's just so jarring that Lu." She said while waving an arm at him, who responded with the biggest smile she had ever seen. "Could do something so taboo."
Robin closed her eyes for a moment, the soft ambient noise of the party fading into the background. "Before the party, I took the liberty to inform myself about this world, from the 'news channel' was it?"
Momo gave a quick nod and a hum of approval.
"I've found that our worlds are quite different." Robin said with an air of a teacher educating a smaller child, and Momo was sat for this.
"Our world is governed by the sea and the strong, not by structured parliaments or judicial systems." she began, her voice steady and devoid of judgment. "And the areas that are governed, are more often than not extremely corrupt."
"Luffy doesn't seek out violence, but he values the freedom of his friends above any societal taboo. To him, if someone stands in the way of a person's right to exist or their dream, they are the ones who have broken the natural law. He doesn't kill out of malice, but out of a necessity to protect his close ones and their freedom. In the Grand Line, sometimes the only way to ensure someone never hurts another person again is to end their threat entirely. It isn't about being right, it's about surviving to see the next sunrise."
Momo looked down at her hands, the contrast between their worlds feeling like a physical chasm. "I understand that survival is a powerful motivator, but that's exactly why we have the hero's vow." she countered, her voice gaining strength. "If we decide who lives and who dies based on our own definitions of freedom and justice, we aren't heroes anymore, we're just another force of nature. "
Momo gulped and continued. "Strict laws and the refusal to kill are the pillars that keep our society from collapsing into chaos. Without that restraint, there is no trust between the powerful and the powerless. If we give up on that, we give up on the very peace we're fighting for."
Robin smiled sadly. "But sometimes, Momo, a stable system is the threat. The laws that protect your peace and shape the meaning of the word justice, also protect the powerful who commit atrocities through loopholes, like the World Government."
Momo looked conflicted. "That may be true, but an imperfect system is still better than no system at all. Chaos allows the worst kinds of people to flourish without restraint."
Robin let the noise of the party wash over them, her expression becoming distant. "You speak of a society collapsing into chaos, but you've never truly lived there. The villains here wear masks and are punished by a court. In our world, nations disappear overnight, wiped from history by a single command." An uncharacteristic sad smile found its way on Robin's face.
"Warlords rule over islands, starving entire populations for decades, and the World Government allows it, sometimes even encourages it. Luffy's method, the swift, absolute defeat of the evil in front of him, is the only way to save a life, a village, or an entire culture from being utterly erased. We don't have the luxury of rehabilitation or bureaucracy when a man with the power to level a country is standing in our way. Your high standard of justice is only possible because of the peace your heroes have successfully built. Our world is too cruel for such a peaceful philosophy, we are forced to be the justice that the system has failed to provide."
Momo considered Robin's words, the image of islands being 'wiped from history' chilling her to the core. "But that's where the failure lies, in the system that allows the World Government to act that way." She insisted, her voice tight with conviction. "We must strive to fix the broken system, not abandon the principle of not killing!"
Suddenly Momo felt a hand push her from behind and into Robin's arms. Momo looked back to see an arm sprout out from a wall before quickly disappearing into petals.
Robin gave Momo a tight and soft hug. "I knew I'd like you. There's no wonder Luffy likes you."
"W-What do you mean?" Momo said, slightly flustered at finding herself in the older woman's embrace out of seemingly nowhere.
"That kind of idealistic thinking is exactly the kind that Luffy's entire personality is built upon." Robin said as she made a little space between them so she could look at Momo's eyes. "The kind that is a 'must' for every straw hat. Having an Impossible dream and unrealistic ideals. That is what makes a true pirate."
"Um, Thank you?" Momo said, still flustered at being manhandled, I guess womanhandled, like that.
Robin's smile faded into something fiercely serious. "If you had the power to change the system back in our world... what would you do?"
Momo didn't miss a beat. She met the archaeologist's intense gaze, pure, unshakeable conviction etched into her bright eyes. "I would do everything in my power to change it."
Suddenly Momo found herself in another hug.
"Oh you're perfect." Robin said as she hugged Momo once more. "You'll do just fine on our crew."
"Haha, thank you," Momo sighed, relaxing and finally returning the embrace. Then, her brain caught up with the words. She froze. "...Wait, what?"
"Hey Momo!!" Momo heard Luffy yell across the room. Not even a second later a hand shot toward Momo, wrapping her up in it and bringing her towards the centre of attention. Momo heard Robin's faint laugh before she was tugged towards Luffy.
Luffy's grin stretched practically ear-to-ear as he slung a rubbery arm around Momo's shoulders, pulling her into the center of the circle.
"Hey, Momo! I've been thinking," he announced, his voice booming over the music. "You're super smart, you can make anything out of your skin, and you're my sister!"
"Damn it Luffy, don't just say it like that!" Momo's blush suddenly came back on her face as she tried to cover it with her hands. The blush a mix of embarrassment and happiness.
"So, it's decided! Join my crew and come to the Grand Line with us!" The room went silent for a heartbeat, the Class 1-A students frozen in shock while the Straw Hats cheered and raised their glasses in immediate welcome.
Momo felt the weight of every gaze in the room, her heart hammering against her ribs. For a fleeting second, the image of the Thousand Sunny sailing toward a horizon of endless adventure flickered in her mind, a world where she wasn't just a "recommendation student" or a billionaire's heiress, but just Momo.
"Are-Are you crazy?!" Momo suddenly said in outrage. This didn't deter Luffy in the slightest.
"Huh? What's the problem?" Luffy said with a question mark appearing above his head.
"The problem is that I can't just leave my life, my friends, my FAMILY!" Momo said as she shook Luffy's hands off. His flippant attitude doing a good job at annoying her. "And when I say family, I don't mean just my mother and father! I'm the heiress to the Yaoyorozu conglomerate!"
"Conglome what?" Luffy said as more question marks appeared above his head.
"The point is I can't just leave!" Momo said before taking a deep breath and calming down. "So, thank you for the invite, but i'll have to decline." She said as she turned around and got ready to leave.
"Hmmm, no." Luffy said very matter of factly. This got a laugh out of most of the crew. Not because it was funny, I mean it was, but because the crew got a weird sense of deja vu.
"Wh-What do you mean no?" Momo suddenly turned around, the anger back to the level that it was before.
"I mean no. You're coming with me. And that's that." Luffy said as he crossed his arms.
"That's tha– You can't just decide that!" Momo said as she threw her arms in anger.
"But I just did." Luffy said very matter of factly before getting closer and putting a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, you'll fit in great!"
"I don't want to fit!" Momo said as she swatted away Luffy's hand, her fangs showing in an angry grin.
"You can be the crew's…" Luffy said as he looked over at his crew. "Treasure!"
"She certainly is!" Sanji said as he did a pirroute.
"You mean treasurer?! No way Luffy, that's my job!" Nami said angrily.
"I thought you were the navigator." Usopp said with a dead-pan expression.
"I can have multiple jobs!" Nami said as her teeth turned into fangs from pure anger.
"So, this is our tenth crew member?" Zoro said as she looked Momo up and down. "Sure."
"It'll be a pleasure to have you on our crew, little lady." Brook said before getting close and taking a deep bow before her.
"Why is everybody acting like I'm already a part of the crew?!" Momo suddenly said in a mix of rage and confusion.
"What, you mean through all of Luffy's tales, he didn't tell you how we were recruited?" Nami said switching from Momo to Luffy. Luffy just looked at her while picking his nose with an 'I don't know' expression.
"What?!" Momo said in surprise.
"Ok guys." Nami said before turning to her crew, now all of them gathered to see this little commotion taking place. "Show of hands those who didn't want to join and left at some point."
Momo's and the rest of the class jaw dropped at seeing every member of the crew raise their hands.
Luffy only giggled in turn.
"W-what?! I thought everybody here wanted to be a part of Luffy's crew!" Momo said in pure confusion.
"Not really, I was forced and even betrayed Luffy at the beginning." Nami said with an 'oops' cutesy face.
"I didn't betray Luffy." Zoro said as he glared at Nami before switching back to Momo. "I was forced to join though."
"Robin-chan and I actually deserted." Sanji suddenly popped up before lighting a cigarette. A sad look came across his face. "I even fought him without holding back."
"Same here." Usopp said, a solemn look on his face. "But we're all good now!"
"I actually wanted to join!" Brook said, bringing a brief relief to Momo and her class. "But I turned it down and joined in a bit later so technically I also refused." and there it went.
"I too agreed to join." Jinbei's voiced boomed in the room. "But actually did much later."
"I was actually a criminal before meeting Luffy." Franky said, remembering the good old days. "I mean, technically we all are now but I was even worse back then and I also joined later on."
"My story isn't as crazy as all of them." Chopper said while twiddling his hooves. "But, yeah, I also refused to join at the beginning."
"But don't let that demotivate you!" Nami said, a face full of conviction as she turned around and pointed a finger at Momo. "It was the best decision we never made."
Momo was still slack-jawed as she watched almost every crewmember admit to suffering under some form of stockholm syndrome. She watched as Nami came close to her and draped an arm around her shoulder.
"So, just don't worry and go with the flow, little sis. Besides, once Luffy made up his mind, it's pretty hard to convince him otherwise." Nami said as she used her arm to caress Momo's shoulder.
"Well, can I just get some time to think it over?" Momo said, not even knowing how to process all of these bombs that were dropped on her.
"What's there to think over?" Luffy said, completely oblivious once again. "We have all the time in the world!"
Nami took an uncharacteristically deep breath, the laughter draining from her face as she stepped away from Momo and stood in front of her and Luffy.
"Well, speaking of time," Nami began, her voice brittle, her eyes glued to the floor. She fiddled desperately with the cuff of her shirt, avoiding everyone's gaze.
Luffy's serious demeanor, which had appeared briefly when she first started talking, vanished. "What is it, Nami?"
Nami flinched at his casual tone. "At first, we didn't think it'd be a problem, but seeing how much fun you were having, we didn't know how to bring it up. We delayed it, but now-" She cut herself off, swallowing hard.
"Nami, it's okay. Just say it," Luffy urged, his tone dropping into a low, and friendly tone, one that carried a heavy undertone. Even Zoro dropped his lazy stance, his hand resting instinctively on the hilt of his sword.
Nami lifted her head, her eyes locking on Luffy's. "The thing is, that portal that brought you to this world. Vegapunk told us it's highly unstable." She checked the advanced watch on her wrist, and the glowing numbers seemed to pulse malevolently in the dim light. "He figured the next time it might open is in… two weeks."
Luffy's massive grin returned. "Okay, that's great! We'll be ready! So, what's the big deal?"
Momo, standing beside Luffy, felt a cold dread wash over her. Her mind began putting the pieces together with devastating speed. She didn't need to hear the rest to know. A highly unstable, dimensional gateway. A single chance.
"You don't know when it will open after that, do you?" Momo whispered, her voice barely audible, yet it cut through the silence like glass. Nami slowly nodded, the movement a devastating confirmation. "You have to be there when that portal opens, or you might be stuck here forever, cut off from your world... your sea... your life."
Nami met her gaze, a profound sadness in her eyes. "Yeah. The portal might open again after a month, a year, a century. We don't know, and we can't risk it. This watch is a timer." She held out her wrist. The digital display glared a simple, stark countdown.
"Two weeks left in this world." Luffy confirmed, the playful light dying in his eyes. His voice was heavy, his aura no longer that of a carefree pirate, but of a captain facing an existential threat.
The revelation hit Momo like a physical blow, stealing the air from her lungs. Two weeks. The time limit wasn't a choice about joining a crew, it was a brutal ultimatum. Leave now, or lose him forever.
But a chilling thought followed, one that gripped her heart in a vice: The Grand Line was a place of killers and monsters, a world where the law of the sea was brutal and absolute. Joining Luffy meant embracing that chaos, abandoning everything safe, and trading a future of comfortable heroics for a life of constant, potentially lethal, peril.
And one of hope, just like Robin said, there she had a possibility to make a real change, to be a hero, a historical figure the people will remember for all time.
She felt the impossible scale of the choice: Leaving Luffy forever, or leave her life in this world. The inner turmoil twisted her gut, a frantic voice screaming, 'I can't lose him!' against a practical whisper, 'I can't leave my life.!'
The crew watched her, knowing this moment. They had all, in some form, faced a similar, irreversible choice to leave their old lives behind. Usopp lowered his head, Chopper whimpered, and Robin watched Momo with an unnervingly empathetic sadness.
The Class 1-A students looked from the countdown watch to Momo's devastated face, suddenly understanding the terrifying weight of Luffy's earlier invitation.
Shigaraki
Shigaraki stood atop a stage. Looking at hundreds of villains, his heart beating out of his chest. By all means he should be resting in a hospital bed, and even more she should at the very least wear a cast, but, in his words, 'I can't show weakness'. So there he was, one speech away from becoming the biggest supervillain in Japan, if not the world.
Shigaraki took a deep, rattling breath, the air in the vast, packed auditorium feeling too thin for the size of the crowd. Before him stood the combined remnants of the Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains, alongside the forced cooperation of the few Yakuza remnants who had pledged fealty after Chisaki's fall. He didn't want unity, he wanted absolute dominion. Stepping to the edge of the stage, his body covered in healing injuries and newly acquired power, he let his voice, a low, gravelly rasp, carry across the silent throng.
"You look at me and you see a new leader. You see a vision." His eyes, cold and red, swept over the faces. "You see a chance to unleash your Quirk, to live without the suffocating rule of 'heroes' and their self-serving laws. That vision died a week ago, crushed under the weight of this society, just like your leader, Rikiya Yotsubashi and Re-Destro."
"I am not here to liberate you. I am here to tell you that the world is broken, and its pieces belong to me." Shigaraki raised a hand, making a show of clenching his fist. "The League of Villains and the Meta Liberation Army, the Yakuza, all the broken threads of this world's underbelly, are now one entity. Forget your old names. Forget your old grudges. From this moment forward, we are the Paranormal Liberation Front. Our goal is simple: to tear down every institution, every symbol, every hero that stands on our way. I am the destruction. I am the end. And you will be the tools that allow me to finally erase this world." The chilling finality of his words, backed by the sheer latent destructive power radiating from him, secured his control.
"And we'll start by tearing down U.A!" Shigaraki said with a fist raised up. Shortly after, he was followed by everybody. Fist after fist, voice after voice..
