The woman's eyelids twitched, she held back her tears. Her face was flushed from crying so hard earlier, and now, scared by a few words, showed a sickly pale.
Yaen Chi continued, "Also, if the Lan Family really has that kind of ability to find you, do you think they would take you away or just kill you outright?"
The woman dug her nails harder into her palm, her alabaster fingertips losing all color.
