She didn't dare think any further at all, but the look in Yaen Chi's eyes was clearly encouraging her.
Ye Wanting tried her best to keep her head down; not even the tiniest crack at the corner of her eye was allowed to sneak a glance over at him.
Thankfully Yaen Chi didn't keep teasing her. The door made a noise, like someone had lightly kicked it a few times.
Ye Wanting instinctively looked at Yaen Chi. He met her gaze, then lifted his brows toward the door.
"Go on, get the door."
"Okay."
Ye Wanting answered and went to open it.
It was Xu Shu. He was carrying food containers in both hands, couldn't free a hand to knock. Seeing Ye Wanting there, he wasn't surprised. He lifted the boxes in his hands. "Just delivered. I borrowed a table from them—make way, quick."
Ye Wanting hurriedly stepped aside into the room. She wanted to help by taking one box, but Xu Shu's legs were long and his stride quick; by the time her hand reached out, he was already walking in.
