"She isn't; I'm cooking."
Bo Yanching spoke up just in time, not even giving Nan Jiaojiao a chance to be embarrassed. Reserved as he usually was around strangers, he went an extra step and explained, "At home, I'm the one who cooks."
Qiao Man admired, "That's really lovely. Miss Nan is so lucky."
Nan Jiaojiao's lips twitched. She couldn't quite muster enthusiasm for Qiao Man, but thankfully, she behaved maturely and didn't show her displeasure because of a certain someone.
Bo Yanching and Qiao Man remained in the kitchen, and Nan Jiaojiao, not trusting it, stayed back to assist.

He brought two durians.
Bo Yanching handed two plates to Nan Jiaojiao, "Go have fun, peel the durians and put them on the plates. Don't hold back; eat if you want. Yaen Chi is here to help me."
