Today was not looking like a good day for Garret Callumelric.
He woke up to a massive headache, his water heater broke down and he, therefore, had to take an icy shower in the morning to compound his misery the elevator in his apartment was under maintenance and he had to take the stairs.
His apartment was found on the tenth floor and he was critically close to being late for his job at the library. After struggling to descend the numerous stairs, garret finally reached the main door to his apartment door when he suddenly realized that the sky was cloudy and ready to fall like the tears he was ready to shed for his situation.
Apart from today being abnormal, his 21 years of existence on earth have been average to say the least. he had a normal upbringing and graduated from a local college in his area of Ohio with a degree in Biochemistry and Mechanical engineering. If anyone asked him for choosing these two areas to get degrees in he would probably laugh the question off because he was embarrassed to tell people that his true reason was that he wanted to try and replicate some of the serums and tech found in the Marvel comics and MCU like the Super Soldier serum, the goblin serum and the sentry serum to name a few.
Basically apart from eating and sleeping garret lived and breathed anything marvel from movies to cartoons, comics, and fanfiction found on reading platforms like Webnovel. he usually goes to forums where discussions about Marvel and enlightens the so-called pagans about the glory and OPness of the marvel characters.
'I hope that Quantumania is good and not trash like Marvel's New Mutants which in garret's opinion was a poor impression of horror....' He thought as he walked with his hands in his pocket while daydreaming about his favorite female character who is one of the most unordinary non-superpowered ladies in the MCU, if it was not clear enough then his fantasy was about Black Widow aka Natasha Romanova.
he was suddenly brought out of his fantasies when he heard the clap of thunder which sounded akin to the trumpet said to be heard in the book of revelations.

The driver of the burning shit-carrying truck quickly jumped out of the truck cabin to escape death and therefore forgot to switch the ignition and the truck was still moving and speeding toward the pedestrians on the sides of the road.
He didn't have any time to think anything as he rushed away from the truck, when he was 75 meters away he saw a little boy crying because he could not find his mother in the chaos of the situation. Garret quickly picked up and threw the little boy out of the path of the truck and before he could try to also escape he felt an unimaginable pain in his back and everything went dark .
