With faces covered in dust and dirt, they had lost all of their former elegance. With eyes full of fear and anxiety, every person there looked around nervously.
However, while they felt fear, their eyes were also filled with intense anger. With murderous looks, they stared fixedly at the figure standing on the chairman's rostrum. If looks could kill, the being on that stage would have undoubtedly been hacked into a thousand pieces by now. Although these councilors did not dare to take action, their curses never stopped for a single moment.
