Santiago focused on the road making all effort to forget Lana's action some hours ago. He was coming back from the police station alone after taking Lana home. His hands stiffened on the wheel, and his mind flashed back to some hours ago.
"If it was me who got missing like my sister, will you act the same way?" Lana's question repeated in his head. He was somehow confused about the question. He didn't know in what direction the question had pointed, so he had simply answered her as he clutched on the break observing the traffic light which had shown red.
"Yes, of course, Lana,"
Santiago saw Lana's lips curve in a deep smile as if something so precious had been given to her.
