Leo Blackbriar, Luna Crestfall, Alice Rose, and Lilly Nova have been training intensely with Satan, Mammon, Belphegor, and Asmodeus. Who are personal guards to the Imperial Demon Family The La-Tifs.
The Rising Sun Party has settled into a daily routine, one of which is going for an early morning run.
"Hey Lilly, do you have any subclasses?" Luna asked.
"Of course I do. Why do you ask?"
"I was thinking about which subclasses I should pick. Can you tell me about yours and why you picked them?"
"Wait, you don't have any subclasses yet?"
"Haven't had a chance to pick any."
"My subclasses are: scout, tracker, brawler, and tamer."
"Why….. pick….. tamer?"
"Oh, Leo, you're still here? Your stamina has improved quite a bit compared to when you first started running with us."
"Very….. funny….. Lilly."
"I chose tamer because I wanted to use my familiar for a variety of tasks that I may not be able to do alone."
"What kind of familiar do you have?"
"I never got around to selecting one, Alice. I focused on raising the levels of my other subclasses. Dawn and I were gonna pick one out together."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up a painful memory for you."
Lilly shakes her head, "It's all good. Thanks to Lilith I was able to get some much needed closure and in doing so a weight was lifted from within my heart."
"Did….." Leo stops running as he grabs his right side.
Jogging in place Alice asked, "are you alright, Leo."
Leo takes a few deep breaths before answering, "I'll live."
Lilly and Luna have stopped jogging and start doing cool down stretches. Alice and Leo follow suit.
"What were you about to ask me, Leo?"
"Did you have a particular familiar in mind?"
"Not back then."
Lunas bent over stretching her hamstrings, "does that mean you have one in mind now?"
"Sorta."
"What do you mean 'sorta?'"
"Ever since I did altitude training up in the Zinnia Mountains I've been having weird dreams where I'm in an all white area surrounded by a random number of cats of all things."
"The Zinnia Mountains? Is that the name of the mountain near the Assassin School?" Alice asked, as she stretched her calves.
"No. The Zinnia Mountains are by the Hunters School. You're thinking of the Deadnettle Mountains, which is located near Aster Village and my alma mater." Explained Lilly.
"So why didn't you do your altitude training there?"
"We don't have instructors skilled in mountain survival or cabins that we can stay in." Replied Lilly.
"Why are you dreaming about cats?"
"I wish I knew. Anyways, what about you guys, do you have any subclasses?"
"I don't." Replied Leo.
"I have the Enchanter and Disenchanter Subclasses." Said Alice. "However, my levels aren't the greatest."
"Do you have the Speed Boost skill?" Lilly asked.
"I do."
"Hold up," interrupted Luna, "if you knew that skill, then why didn't you use it back when Scarlett was dying?"
"I tend to forget things when I get hyper focused on someone who needs help. Add in that overwhelming pressure we felt, and… well you saw I acted."
"What was the overwhelming pressure you guys felt?" Inquired Lilly.
"It was Abyss, the Black Dragon." Leo answered. "And yes we know he's dead, but Lieutenant Jamison confirmed it."
"You mean there's a fucking Black Dragon zombie out there somewheres?"
"It's a possibility," answered Alice nonchalantly, "But there have been no reports of it being sighted, yet."
"Fair point. Alright Alice cast that speed boost on us."
"You got it." Alice holds her hand above her head, "Speed Boost!"
Four blue circles appear above their heads then descend, cloaking them all in a blue aura that then fades away.
In a small voice, Alice asked, "how do you guys feel?"
"I feel lighter." Lilly jumps up and down a few times.
"Same." Replied Luna.
"This is awesome! Why couldn't we have done this before we started running?"
"Because Leo, that would defeat the purpose of building up our stamina and endurance." Explained Lilly. "Now let's go get cleaned up and get some food."
Lilly takes off running. Luna and Alice follow after her.

After the gang conducts personnel hygiene, and dresses, they gather at the teleportation circle that'll take them to the floating gazebo.
It's become their go to spot for eating as of late. Each time they go it's on a different body of water within the Netherlands Empire. This time however it's not on the water but up in the sky, floating above Lilith's personal garden.
As the gang takes in the new scenic view, Alice looks over the railing and notices Lilith and Abby arguing with one another. Satan and Asmodeus are watching nearby encase things escalate further.
"Hey guys, Abby is yelling at Lilith about something."
"I think I know why." Said Luna, looking at the gazebos floor.
Alice goes to see what Luna's looking at when she notices the gazebo floor turns transparent as she walks; something it never did before. Now she too can see what Luna sees.
Lilith La-Tif, the second born princess, had a very intricate still life portrait of her little sister Abaddon, made out of flowers that can only be seen from above.
It depicts her riding on her brother Teru's back when they entered the throne room together.
Prince Teru La-Tif is the first born and only son of Emperor and Empress La-Tif.
"Huh, that's an interesting way to ride bareback." Comments Lilly, "do you guys always do crazy things like that?"
Leo answers her with a resounding "no. That was a deal made between Abby and her siblings in order to enlist Lilith's help in waking Kiyo and Kino from their comas."
It's at that moment Alice's stomach lets out a loud growl. Everyone chuckles and heads over to the table to eat.
Once everyone has a full plate in front of them, they pick their conversation back up about subclasses.
"Tamer subclass aside, how did you decide on the other three?" Asked Alice.
"The thing to remember when picking subclasses is to pick ones that not only complements your class, but also boosts any innate abilities you may have."
"Like your innate skills as a tracker and scout."
"Correct."
"Why the brawler subclass?"
"It was Dawn's suggestion. She told me that relying on stealth attacks can only get me so far. And eventually I'd run into someone I couldn't sneak up on. She also said I'd be a poor excuse for an assassin if I couldn't fight."
"You're a poor excuse for a fighter as well." Quips Satan. She along with Abby had joined them.

"You also need a new whip." Alice reminds her.
Satan smiles an o-so devilish smile. "Alistair, it's time."
Alistair appears out of thin air. "Yes, Ms. Satan."
"What are you plotting now?"
"Come with me to Snapdragon Village and find out, Lilly. Oh, and you guys should come along as well."

Alistair had teleported the gang to some location near Snapdragon Village. Before them stood a strange incomplete looking building. The place was bustling with dwarves, humans, beast-kin, and demi-human's.
"Hey you!" Shouts Satan, "where's Kiyo?"
One of the dwarves shouts back without even breaking stride, "he's in the forge out back!"
"Follow me." Satan walks off along a path to the right of the building, prompting the others to follow after her.
She leads them around to the back of the building where another building some distance away can be seen, smoke billowing from a chimney. As they draw closer a familiar sound is heard coming from within.

The door opens, and Kiyo steps out. Closing the door behind him, he heads towards his friends.
"So what do you guys think?" I asked.
"Think of what?" Alice asked.
"This place, it's our new home. Well when it's done that is."
"Actually Kiyo, I never told them."
"Satan, how do 𝑦𝑜𝑢 know about this place?"
"I got bored waiting for Kiyo to come back. So I went looking for him."
"Imagine my surprise when she showed up two months ago, and immediately challenged me to a fight."
"Hold on, you knew this whole time where Kiyo's been?"
"Yes."
"Then what was that outburst all about back at the gazebo?"
"That my dear Luna, was a little bit of theater."
"A little bit of what?" Luna, and the others stare at Satan waiting for more details.
"Guys, why don't we head to the Snapdragon Inn and I'll tell you what I've been up to."
"Yes, hurry up and talk. Then Kiyo and I can fight again."
"You're dismissed Satan. Return to the castle." Ordered Abby.
"What?! You can't be serious, princess?!"
The death glare Abby gives Satan for addressing her as 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 shuts her up instantly.
"Abby, Satan kept this place a secret because I asked her to, and in exchange for keeping it a secret I promised we'd fight whenever I was done working for the day. But I am curious as to why you are here so early?"
"The Master of the Forge said the thing for Lilly would be ready today."
"Satan." Calls Abby, causing her to involuntary flinch, "you may stay."
Satan breathes a sigh of relief.
"However, as punishment for using the p-word you're not allowed to fight Kiyo until our new home is fully completed."
"That's…fair."
"Can we circle back to the thing you're having made for me? And why?"
"Because I broke your chain whip, I had a new one crafted for you and I covered the coat."
"So who is this "Master of the Forge" you spoke of?"
"She's the one everyone goes to when they want to become a top notch blacksmith, or a whitesmith. Those who complete their apprenticeship under her go on to have very successful careers." Explained Satan.
"Seriously?!"
"She also trains them on how to add or remove enchantments, as well as how to repair equipment that has been enchanted."
"How did you get someone that important to craft me a new weapon?"
"I asked."
"Y-you asked?" Stammered Lilly.
"Yes. Oh, but you'll have to tell her what enhancements you want added."
"Lilly, why don't you and Satan go hammer out the details with the master. While the rest of us walk to the inn."
"How long were you waiting to use that corny ass joke, Kiyo?" Satan asked.

Leaving Lilly and Satan behind, everyone else heads to the inn. Looking around Leo asks a question that's been nagging at him since they started walking.
"Why does this place seem familiar?"
"It's where we first met. I had asked Rin to show me some places that had land for sale."
"Wow! How much land did you buy?"
"Actually, I purchased all of Snapdragon Village, the surrounding villages, and the surrounding lands.
"You did what?!" Shouts everyone, except for Abby who asks the simple question of, "why?"
"Well it all started two months ago."
