"You suspect a spy, but who? From where? We just completely uprooted the royal council. There's no way that the spy is a current council member. Not if this goes back as far as your father's reign." Anon asks as he rubs his temple.
"Well, we can't overlook the idea of an inherited grudge," Rin adds as he passes a beer to Anon.
Anon gladly takes the beer and chugs it.
"I'm not saying that it isn't possible, but it's unlikely. This is deeper than the hatred of one person or one family. Unless it's a family with immense power." I close my eyes, trying to quell the oncoming headache as I think out loud.
"Let's start with the people who have the most to gain from working with King Lao. Is there anyone who comes to mind? Anyone who has power that would benefit King Lao?" Parker adds as he takes Anon's empty beer can and swaps it with a new one.
"A few. However, suspecting them is a whole problem in itself." I admit.
"What do you mean?" Rin asks as he cocks his head to the side.
