BRRRIING! BRRRIING!
A sudden ringing shattered the silence, drawing Yuan and Patricia's attention toward the dead gang member lying on the floor.
"A phone?" Patricia muttered in surprise, glancing at the corpse.
"It must be one of their gang members calling," Yuan said as he walked toward the body.
He searched the dead man's pockets and retrieved the ringing phone. When he glanced at the screen, he found the word Boss displayed prominently as the caller ID.
Seeing this, a smile crept across his face. He answered the call and put it on speaker.
[Hey, Tim! What took you so long to answer my call?!]
An angry voice boomed through the speaker the moment the call connected.
[Why aren't you saying anything? Don't you have a mouth?! Answer me!!]
"...Tim is lying flat on the floor... dead," Yuan replied in a cold, provocative tone.
[...]
The other end of the line fell silent. However, the caller didn't hang up.
[Who. The. Hell. Are. You? And what have you done to Tim?]
