The applause continued long after Aslan finished introducing the Heroes.
Once the cheering began to calm, conversation quickly took its place. Guests leaned toward one another, pointing out familiar faces on the stage or repeating the names of those they had never seen before. Some were already arguing over which Hero had made the strongest impression.
The screens still showed the stage, though the sound had been cut while Aslan spoke privately with those beside him.
He wore a smile as he addressed the twins. Keith and Sean seemed happy to answer, occasionally turning toward one another before responding. Sharon and Felix joined the conversation as well, listening when Aslan spoke and offering replies the people watching could not hear.
The other Heroes remained within earshot, though not all appeared inclined to participate.
