William didn't know the answer to such weird questions. He felt he missed a great deal of the truth here. If that master wasn't present, then how come the Bronze Lizard clan and others knew about what he did back then?
He couldn't even find a full explanation that wasn't filled with holes. Every theory he constructed seemed to crumble under the weight of the unknown observer's true power and motives.
And just as he was lost in his thoughts, he heard the strong voice of the headmaster loud and clear, cutting through the murmurs of the council like a sharp blade.
"Let's hear his defence then," the headmaster said as he waved his hands in a signal for everyone to stand down and sit back.
The last thing he wanted was for the strongest people of his academy to start a fight between each other over the fate of a servant. Especially if this was all led by a clan he didn't personally like, the Bronze Lizard clan.
