Lily slept terribly last night. She kept being woken up, and the room was swarming with mosquitoes.
She swept the dust from the floor and bed over and over, but it never seemed to get clean. She couldn't understand how a small inn room could be so filthy. Having stayed in inns on every island with Mr. Charles, this was hands-down the worst one yet.
Fuming, Lily stormed to the front desk to complain, only to find no one there. Feeling sluggish, she didn't dwell on it. She had rested for a day, and it was time to move on.
But before setting off, she hadn't forgotten about the slave-trading crew members from the night before.
Finding them was a piece of cake for Lily. Their ship was a mid-sized freighter with two smokestacks, bobbing quietly in the harbor on the inky black waves. Without overthinking it, Lily faced the crew and their guns and relics, charging in and defeating them with ease.
A stark white light erupted from her body, illuminating every corner of the ship.
