The valuable technological data from the stations, the machinery that hadn't broken down, and any useful resources were swiftly confiscated. However, the islands held not only good things but bad things as well—mutated clones.
Many clones, like Feierbahah, had managed to survive under the influence of 004. Although they appeared weak, they posed a hidden threat and had to be eliminated. The clones who could still move tried to pilot aircraft for a counterattack, but they were quickly dealt with by Charles's people.
