Humanoid rifts appeared on the solid ice of the walls. As their bodies cracked open slightly, a bone-chilling wind emanated from them, causing the temperature inside the elevator shaft to plummet rapidly.
One of the workers wearing a mining lamp was barely brushed by the frigid wind. His body instantly turned a bizarre, deep indigo before he fell helplessly downward.
As the body passed a young Explorer, the boy instinctively reached out to grab him.
CRACK!
A frozen arm was left in the boy's hand while the icebound corpse continued to tumble into the darkness below.
The others who witnessed this all drew in a sharp, cold breath. Just getting touched by that chill was certain death!
