Hearing T6's words, Charles let out a low chuckle. "An experimental subject, huh? Then I truly am honored. After all, not just anyone receives the Foundation's favor. Is this supposed to be a threat?"
T6 took a small step forward, bringing its terrifyingly enormous Spider head close to Charles.
"I'm a straightforward person. I usually just say what's on my mind. Charles, we've worked together before. I may not be a soldier, but we were comrades. I really don't want to see you end up like that."
"But do you know what will happen if I agree? My wife, my child, and my friends—the companions who've gone through life and death with me—will all be wiped out when your plan is launched! If they're no longer in this world, then what's left of humanity that's worth protecting?" Charles's tone was calm, his gaze resolute.
