Inside the Governor's Mansion on Hope Island, a half-dead spider lay sprawled inside a square Array. Anna held a chunk of Charles's flesh and a sliver of his soul in her hand, lost in thought.
"Hurry up, what are you staring at?" Charles urged from the side.
Anna popped the items in her hand into her mouth for a moment before spitting them at the spider. "I've noticed your soul is so weird now; it doesn't taste good at all. Remember that other angle of the sea otter's castle? You ate quite a few people in there, and your soul became... fragrant. But ever since you returned from the Foundation, your soul changed. I bet it has everything to do with whatever N8 erased from you."
Charles gave her a weary look, a headache already forming. Although Anna no longer ate people, some of her old views were hard to shake. "Hurry up. Julio is pressing for this."
