"Pretty."
"Do you still remember our promise?" Lily's eyes lit up.
Hearing this, Charles said nothing. Of course he remembered, but he didn't want to discuss the topic.
When she received no response, Lily frowned. "Mr. Charles, you haven't been treating me like a child and tricking me this whole time, have you?"
"No, of course not." Charles instinctively looked away.
"Good!" Lily smiled and nestled deeper into his arms. Suddenly, an idea came to her. She raised her head and said, "It would be a problem if you forgot. Why don't we make it official and put it in writing?"
Just as Charles was about to say something, Deep stumbled in through the nearby window, clutching a drink and clearly very drunk.
"Captain! Lily! You're both here! Perfect, I don't have to look for you. Let's go drink at Fatty's place! Everyone's there!" Slurring his words, Deep grabbed Charles's hand and pulled him toward the balcony.
