On the Earth's surface, aboard a train billowing thick black smoke, Anna lightly twirled a strand of hair with her finger. She smiled at Feierbahah and spoke in a gentle voice, "Where did they take Charles? Why hasn't he come back yet?"
"How would I know? You should ask those big guys from the Heike Clan about that. I don't really know them," Feierbahah said, feigning innocence.
"You don't know them? Really? Why do I find that so hard to believe?"
Anna couldn't be bothered to waste words on him. She used her ability to scan his memories, and everything in his mind rapidly unfolded before her.
She quickly flipped through them but found nothing of value; most of the memories were just petty trivialities. The old Anna might have been fooled by this, but the woman she was now was different.
