The bookstore at the outpost held most of the Abyss-Sea's books, with all four walls stacked high with volumes of all shapes and sizes.
But compared to other lively entertainment venues, this place felt especially deserted. Most Explorers didn't care much for knowledge.

"Ugh, it stinks. So smelly," Lily said, pinching her nose and backing away from the stack of new books.
"That's exactly what the most expensive purple-ringed octopus ink smells like. This scent only comes from new books, you know. Over time, it fades, and what starts as a stench will eventually become a fragrance," Grace said, picking up a book and starting to flip through it.
"I don't believe you! You're definitely lying. How could something smelly ever turn into something fragrant?" Lily retorted, sticking out her tongue at her.
