Charles suddenly stood up, forcing the sacrificial ritual—which had reached its final moments—to halt once again.
Everyone turned dissatisfied gazes toward him.
"Captain, this is the third time. Can you please stop interrupting? Why don't you wait for the next round?" Linda said, her brow tightly furrowed at the standing captain.
"Next round? Next round of what? Dying? All of you, stand up! Right now!" Charles shouted, yanking the crew members seated in the Array to their feet.
"Are you all insane!? Why did we come someplace this high up! First Mate, get the Narwhal descending at the fastest possible speed—drop as fast as you can!"
"This is an unknown region of deep space! We're in danger every second we stay here!"
Bandage spun around, ready to run for the cockpit, but after just two steps, his third faltered and he slowly drew it back. He turned, looking at Charles with the same confused gaze as the other crew.
