He was training his use of his Special Ability. When a relic integrated with the body, its power became as trainable as any muscle.
After finishing a whole sheet of paper, Charles pulled out the page and stacked it with the seven or eight others, wiping his slightly sweaty forehead with his hand.
The transparent tendrils were the first relic he had fused with, and he had essentially mastered them. Now, he needed other relics.
