"Not bad this time. Even though you were gone for over a month, you came back in one piece." Anna's soft hands reached across the open-air dining table on a trade street in the Giant Pit Fortress, cradling Charles's head as she spoke.
"Yes, this exploration was a great success. Not only did we have zero losses, but most importantly, I've found clues about Earth's surface. There was just a small incident along the way."
"I've seen so many different memories in your mind. Do you want me to erase them for you?"
Charles hurriedly stopped her. "Don't touch them! Absolutely not. Those memories are very useful. We'll clear them out after we find the location of the Darkness."
Anna's hands moved swiftly for a moment before she hugged Charles tightly and gave him a sound kiss. "Done! The link between you and that eyeball has been severed."
