Hearing the news that they were temporarily safe, Deep's body went limp against the wall, his face twisted in pain as he half-knelt on the ground. His fish-skin-wrapped body was once again bleeding. The fact that he had managed to get this far while dragging such injuries was already no small feat.
"Are you okay?" Charles was about to rush over when the ship doctor beat him to it. After quickly assessing Deep's condition, she whipped out a Potion, pouring half into his mouth and the other half into the mouth of Plank beside him.
"He won't die for now." Linda's hands didn't stop as she nervously tended to all the wounded.
Charles looked at the battered crew, anxiety gnawing at his heart. This wasn't over. Once the Special Task Force found nobody in the gap outside, they would definitely come back to search. He had to figure out a way to escape this cursed place.
"Audric, turn into a bat and go outside to keep watch. The moment those bastards get close, alert us immediately."
