Pushing away Plank, who had tried to help him up, Charles felt slightly better. He wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, fixed his gaze on Alice on the ground, and asked again, "All the special abilities you showed before were related to relics, right? How many relics did the Foundation implant in your body?"
"Projects? Quite a few. It's been too long, I don't really remember," the battered Alice replied with a faint smile.
Realizing he wouldn't get any more out of her, Charles pondered for a few seconds before issuing his next order. "Let's move. We're getting out of this cursed place. Take this one with us. Maybe Anna can pry something out of her. After we get what we need, we'll tear her apart and dig out all the relics from her body."
The crew of the Narwhal obeyed, dragging Alice's mangled body back the way they came.
