The torpedo surged through the water, plunging directly into the steamboat of the Futan believers. Iron hull plates burst apart, the turbine room exploded, and a huge fireball rose thunderously from the sea's surface.
The Futan Sect could not hold on any longer. Divine Descent had become an inferno, its various temples and buildings continuously consumed by flames.
Casualties among the civilians were substantial. Their desperate cries did nothing to slow the fire. Some attempted to leap into the sea to escape, only to be killed by the sunlight after swimming a few strokes. The sea's surface was littered with corpses.
"The deal continues? We're continuing the deal now? When you were double-crossing my man just now, why didn't you say the deal continues?" Anna roared, twisting her tentacles, the large mouth at the center of her body gaping in fury.
