Shocked by the scene, Lily could no longer dwell on her sadness. Her eyes widened as she asked, "Who is this?"
"The daughter of the two Governors. I heard her name is Shanshan."
"Daughter?! Impossible! Did Mr. Charles have her with Monster Sister?"
For some reason, when Lily heard this news, an odd feeling welled up in her heart.
"She's not some 'Monster Sister,' she's the child of Governor Anna and Governor Charles."
The pigtailed maid then spoke softly to Lily again. "Little Lily, she took your breakfast. You can't be full yet. Should I have the kitchen make you another portion?"
"No... no need, I'm already full," Lily said, turning and rushing toward the main door.
Once she reached the bustling streets, Lily walked aimlessly along the sidewalk. She suddenly felt as if someone had snatched away something very important to her, that she meant nothing to Mr. Charles at all.
At least I'm Mr. Charles's gunner. He still needs me to find the Earth's surface.
