"Grandpa, how did you know I was a girl? Everyone else thinks I'm just a mouse," Lily said, looking up curiously at the old man handing her a doll.
Lily wasn't the only one who wanted to know; Charles was equally curious. How was this man so certain that Lily was a human turned into a mouse, and not a mouse implanted with human memories?
"Then do you know how to change me back?" Lily asked anxiously.
Tuba, however, acted as if he hadn't heard the question. He abruptly stuffed the doll in his hand into the pile of mice, then began frantically rummaging through it.
"Here, this is for you," Tuba said, pulling out half of a torn, ragged book and handing it to Feierbahah.
But the green-haired young man, who had never seemed flustered before, shot out the door like a mouse that had seen a cat.
"Throw that thing away! Immediately!" Feierbahah's eyes were bulging, and his lips were drained of all color in fright.
