Since Rex was planning to use this beast as a test dummy. He had to use this chance to fully understand what makes this beast tick.
As the beast wanted nothing more than to slash Rex to death. It had also decided not to use its claws anymore. It had had to figure out way to fight without using its claws.
The beast dug deep through the body trying to find anything that it could use besides the poisoned claws. It found three things but none of them would have worked in this position.
Everything either would have to make it airborne or it have to shake everything towards Rex. Currently, shaking something is what Rex wants but not in the fashion it needed.
The Charged Beast howled with all of its might. It was super charging what would be called the Core by Rex. That was not just the core.
It was center of the beast. The heart, brain, and sensory nerves truly work. By super charging it, the beast can feel everything to the tiniest bacteria.
The explosive charge caused the ground to crack. Both man and beast ready to unlease everything they have.
The beast seemingly faster than before. Paw swipes leaving Rex not only punctured but also bruised and slightly cracked bones.
As the onslaught felt like a long time coming for the Shadow People. To Rex, he knew that one good solid punch, knee, or kick to the beast's underbelly would more than likely kill it.
Even as the thought of ending this battle too quickly became an option. Something else came from the portal. The Charged Beast looked back and saw the baby cub that had recognized it has a parent.
Right now though, the tables were turning. The cub was not thinking of this Charged Beast as a parent but a betrayal that needed to be eaten.
The Charged Beast knew that fighting two sides would be a bad thing. So it decided to turn its back to Rex.
Even Rex, at this point was seriously considering to wait until the claws came back out. Rex knew that whatever the tiny beast was. It had to be killed first.
Rex moved and kicked the underbelly too hard. The tiny beast felt all of the ribs shatter and most of its veins rupture instantly.
The Charged Beast crushed the head of the child. The entire Shadow People felt the combo was a little too perfect. As if the tiny beast or the duo wanted this to happen.
Then another beast entered the Realms. This was shocked to see the death of the baby. The instincts of the other overrode the normal reaction. This was the mother. It wanted to surprise its mate with the two of them showing up.
Seeing how the baby laid dead. The mother felt compelled to end not only her life but the life of the mate killing it.
Rex could see the hatred of the dead beast in the other's eyes. Before she could finalize a move. She was down by Rex smashing her spine into a million pieces with all of his force.
Then she realized why her mate had killed the baby. She was dying currently having only come to support him. She tried to stand but failed. Every breath gurgled and oozing blood came out of the shattered spine.
Even as the mate laid there, she did not want to die. She used everything she could to heal herself. Her mate came over crying.
It did not want to kill her or the baby. It did want to die by there hands and not them alone.
Since the Charged Beast was suffering. It had no choice but to put the mate out of the suffering. The female laid there accepting the touch of death from her mate.
When she too had finally died. The male mate roared and began to devour the machinery of the beasts.
Rex was surprised at this fact. He did not dare to move to see the insides of the beast yet. The male mate crying as it had to eat his mate and child to get stronger.
The Shadow People felt that something this cruel is always better to leave chained. Even the Shadow King felt that this was the best course of action.
The Charged Beast began to change as it ate the machinery from the female. His fur now like spikes due to Rex stomping her spine. The springs are now coiled tighter for a much more powerful release. The veins of the beast became wider and allowed the fluid to flow faster and harder into the other parts.
The male mate ripped open the underbelly. Rex got to see what he had called the Core of them. It was a sphere almost completely blue but it had the heart connection, it looked like something else was connected to it, and a direct line that led to the head.
Rex was for sure that now this beast has two brains. One for its survival and mating process, and the other is to think during battle.
The mate crushed the blue sphere. This is to not allow it to be conflicting with its own brain and Core. Seeing that most of the machinery was eaten.
The mate began to dig a hole. It gently tugged on the mate. Rex came over and helped the male gently put the beast into the hole. As for the baby, it was placed inside the open chest of the mother.
Once the mate had completely filled the hole. It did a strange looking dance. Even has the dance continued, the Charged Beast had decided to forget the feelings of the past. Now that it had lost both mate and child. It would fight for survival of the fittest.
It knew that dying by Rex's hands was for the best. If it injured Rex badly again, there would be nothing left to bury of itself.
