The weather was too hot, so Xiaomi ran from her house to Xiaocao's house, sweating profusely.
Zhang Yuan had just fed the pigs and returned home, when he saw Xiaomi panting and carrying a lot of things, running towards their house under the scorching sun. He quickly called out to Xiaocao and went to the kitchen to fetch a bowl of water.
"Why did you come over in such a hot sun, Xiaomi? Why not rest at home?"
He handed her the tea bowl as he spoke. In summer, everyone was used to getting up in the morning and brewing a pot of fragrant dragon grass, so they could drink cool tea all day.
Xiaomi took the bowl and gulped down the tea. In her hurry, she had forgotten to drink water at home.
After finishing, she handed the bowl back to Zhang Yuan: "Uncle Zhang, it's been a while since I played with Xiaocao. I came to find her for some fun in the mountains."
