The cinema was dark, the previews already playing when Mu Xiaoxiao slid into his seat beside Serizawa Yukiha. She was wearing a light floral dress—casual but carefully chosen, he noticed—and her dark hair was loose around her shoulders. Her hands were clasped nervously in her lap, and she jumped slightly when his hand found hers.
"Xiaoxiao," she whispered, her eyes darting around to make sure no one was watching. "This is... this is public."
"Secret rendezvous are the most exciting kind," he replied, squeezing her hand gently. "Don't you think?"
Yukiha's face turned a lovely shade of pink. She had always been the shy one, the one who blushed at the slightest hint of intimacy, but that was precisely what made their outings so enjoyable. The contrast between her demure exterior and the passionate woman she became when they were alone was intoxicating. She had grown to accept the other girls in his life. Still, she cherished these moments alone with him.
"I-I mean, we could have just stayed in," she murmured, but her fingers intertwined with his willingly. "Watched a movie at our place. It would have been—"
"Safer?"
"Less risky."
"Where's the fun in that?"
She bit her lower lip, a gesture he had come to recognize as her tell—she was thinking about something daring. "You just like seeing me flustered."
"Guilty as charged."
The movie started—some romantic comedy that neither of them was really paying attention to. His thumb traced lazy circles on the back of her hand, and he felt her slowly relax beside him. By the time the first act was over, her head had drifted to his shoulder, and she was watching him more than the screen.
"Xiaoxiao," she said softly, her voice barely audible above the film's dialogue. "Can I really find something I want to do? After graduation?"
"Absolutely," he said without hesitation. "I'm supporting you, Yukiha. If you'd like, you could just be a NEET."
Her breath caught. "I know, but others have their own dreams and goals. They have something they want to do, unlike me who's confused."
"Don't worry about it," he said simply. "You're all mine. That's all you need to know."
She was silent for a long moment, processing his casual certainty. Then, slowly, a smile spread across her face—one of those rare, genuine smiles that transformed her from beautiful to breathtaking.
"Okay," she whispered. "Okay."
He leaned in and kissed her forehead, then her nose, and finally her lips. She melted against him, her hand coming up to cup his jaw, the world outside the cinema disappearing entirely. In moments like these, the harem didn't matter. There was only him and her, two souls intertwined in the darkness, doing things far more excessive than watching the film without letting anyone know.

The karaoke room was brightly lit, the walls covered in soundproof padding, the large screen displaying a music video that no one was watching. Mu Xiaoxiao entered to find three of his favorite women already seated on the plush couch, a spread of snacks and drinks on the table before them.
Kisaragi Anna sat in the corner, her striking white hair catching the colorful lights from the screen. Her ruby red eyes fixed on him the moment he walked in, sharp and assessing. Half-Japanese, half-Russian, she had an exotic beauty that turned heads wherever she went, but it was her straightforward personality that he loved most. She didn't play games, didn't hide her feelings. If she was angry, you knew it. If she was happy, you knew it. If she was jealous—well, you definitely knew it. Anna had been one of the earliest to join his harem, second only to Mahiru Chisato. She had accepted the arrangement long ago, her pride and independence eventually bowing to the undeniable connection between them.
"Finally," Anna said flatly, her voice carrying that distinctive directness. "You're late. We've been waiting for fifteen minutes."
"Fashionably late," Mu Xiaoxiao replied, sliding onto the couch beside her. "You know me."
"Fashionably annoying," she shot back, but her ruby eyes softened just slightly. "Natsuki's been singing the same song for the past ten minutes. Save us."
"Hey!" Tohsaka Natsuki whirled around from the microphone, her short blonde hair—cut in a sharp wolf style—swinging with the movement. She was athletic, energetic, always in motion, with a grin that could charm anyone. "I was just warming up! Now that Xiaoxiao's here, I can really get started!"
"Please don't," Anna muttered.
"Don't listen to her," Ichijou Honoka said from her seat, adjusting the collar of her blouse. She had brown hair that fell softly around her shoulders and yellow-green eyes that sparkled with intelligence. She didn't fit any of the gyaru stereotypes—no tan, no flashy makeup, no loud clothes. She looked more like a studious honors student, which made her presence in this group all the more amusing, though her height and bust certainly didn't help. "Natsuki's actually getting better. She only missed half the notes this time."
"Half?!" Natsuki's jaw dropped. "I missed, like, maybe two notes!"
"Those were the only notes you hit correctly," Anna said dryly.
"No way!"
Mu Xiaoxiao laughed, pulling Anna closer. She resisted for exactly two seconds before settling against his side, her white hair brushing against his chin. "You three are always so entertaining."
"Entertaining," Honoka repeated, her yellow-green eyes glinting with amusement. "Is that what you call us when you're spending time with all your other girls?"
"You know what I call you. Mine."
"Smooth," Natsuki said, dropping back onto the couch and grabbing a handful of chips. "But I'm not that easy to get."
"Good thing I'm not trying to do that. Not yet anyway."
"At least I don't act like a grumpy cat every time Xiaoxiao talks to someone else," Natsuki said, poking Anna's shoulder.
"Because I don't act," Anna replied coolly. "I just am. If I'm unhappy, I say it. That's who I am."
Mu Xiaoxiao pressed a kiss to her temple. "And I like that about you. You never leave me guessing."
"Unlike some people," Anna said, shooting a pointed look at Honoka, who merely shrugged.
"Guessing is part of the fun," Honoka said. "Isn't that right, Xiaoxiao?"
"Every part of you is fun," he replied, earning a roll of those yellow-green eyes.
Natsuki grabbed the microphone again. "Okay, enough talking! I'm singing another song, and this time, you're all going to sing along!"
"Absolutely not," Anna said.
"Coward."
"I have dignity."
"Same thing!"
The room filled with laughter as Natsuki launched into an energetic pop song, her voice surprisingly decent despite the teasing. Honoka eventually joined in, and even Anna hummed along quietly, her ruby eyes closing as she leaned into Mu Xiaoxiao's warmth.
He looked around at the three of them—Anna's straightforward honesty, Natsuki's boundless energy, Honoka's quiet intelligence—and felt a surge of contentment. You wouldn't expect that these three would become friends, much less good ones. Thinking of the three doing things together stirred something in him.
"I haven't eaten Natsuki or Honoka yet," Mu Xiaoxiao murmured, his voice dropping low enough for only Anna to hear. His hand traced lazy patterns on her arm. "Or else I would really like you all to sing conquest. With a microphone, any sound would be heard."
Anna's ruby eyes flickered with a mix of satisfaction and possessiveness. "It does," she admitted quietly. "But don't think I'm going to be less jealous just because of that. I'm not made that way."
"I wouldn't want you to be," he said, kissing her temple again. "Your jealousy is part of what makes you you. And I like all of you."
"Good answer," she murmured, her voice softening. Then they made out amidst the two complaining, making them watch. After watching for a while, Mu Xiaoxiao got what he liked and the moans were amplified. They would play a game of who could sing without failing, and sure enough, no one won.
