( Arata's POV )
When Kuyuzu said there were strange people in my mother's house, I told her to pass the message on to the rest of the girls and I jumped out of my bedroom window, I ran at full speed and at one point I realized my wind control abilities activated; a cone of wind was created around me, the aerodynamic shape of it gave me speed, and I ran, bringing my body close to the ground to increase my speed even more.
I got home faster than expected and pushed open the door. I had an intense look on my face, but on the other side of the door was my mother, as cheerful as ever.
Sakura: oh Arata, you came to visit, you're missing the nest.
Arata: ...it's not that, are you okay?
Sakura: Why wouldn't I be? Oh, since you're here, you should go say hi to your sisters. I'm sure they miss you a lot.
Arata: Sisters?
I guess this is what Kuyuzu meant when she said Mom was acting strange, I moved into the living room and there I saw two girls sitting on the couch, one was a red-haired girl with pigtails and the other was a girl with long silver hair.
When the girls saw me, the redhead became noticeably uncomfortable, while the other remained calm and collected.
???: Oh, Onii-chan, I'm happy to see you again~
Arata: ... Yes, it feels like I haven't seen you in forever.
I didn't want to cause a scene with my mother at home, and the silver-haired girl also took a peaceful approach; the other girl just stayed out of the conversation.
Sakura: Oh no! How could I have let this happen?
Arata: What happened?!
Sakura: We ran out of snacks, I'll have to make a run to the store, do you kids want anything?
My mother was acting as friendly as ever, her personality remained the same and the only strange thing was that these girls were her children, this could be mind control or memory alteration.
???: N-no, I'm fine.
Arata: I want ice cream.
???: Oh, I want ice cream too~
Sakura: Okay, I'll be back in a moment.
Mother left the house happy as always, and we in the living room just watched silently as she moved. When the door closed behind her, the silver-haired girl raised her hand and whispered something.
???: I'm sorry about this.
At that moment I activated my pact with Sagiri, my energy control raise sharply, and several katanas appeared floating around me, those flew towards the girls and formed sharp triangles around the girls' necks.
They could no longer move without risking losing their heads, and I immediately took the opportunity to interrogate the girls.
Arata: Who are you and who do you work for?
???: That's, a demonic weapon.
The silver-haired girl responded only with the correct analysis of my sword; the blades of the swords came closer to the girls' necks, and I asked again.
Arata: You wanted to use my mother to get to me? That's something I can't forgive.
???: Y-you're wrong, we're not after you.
Arata: I don't believe you.
???: It's the truth! We don't even know who you are; we're here because we have nowhere else to go.
When the redhead girl said she didn't know me, I looked her straight in the eyes. I was a little on edge because my mother had been involved, but when I calmed down a bit I could see that they didn't seem like bad girls; the one with silver hair was very comfortable lying, but that didn't immediately make her bad.
I moved my swords away from the girls and they let out a sigh of relief, and at that moment the door of the house burst open, The girls entered the room and were confused when they saw me with my powers activated in front of the two unknown girls.
Arata: You arrived just in time, these girls have a lot to say.
We sat in the living room and I told the girls, like me, they didn't appreciate that they had pointed the finger at my mother but before they could say anything, I let the girls tell their side of the story; first, some introductions were in order.
???: My name is Maria and this is Mio-sama, we are both devils, and that's basically the reason we're here.
The silver-haired girl, Maria, upon learning that we were not normal people, revealed their true identities.
The fact that they were devils didn't sound good, but that didn't make them evil, according to some legends, mermaids lured and drowned sailors for practically nothing, but Sun was one of the sweetest girls I've ever met, so I shouldn't be so quick to judge these girls.
After saying that the two of them were devils, Maria gave me a fixed look and when she didn't see me bothered by her identity she gave a small smile and continued with her story.
Maria: Mio-sama has spent her entire life with humans and was unaware of what she was, but when she found out for various reasons we had to run.
Mio: Maria, don't you think you're saying too much?
Maria: They need to know in order to believe us; we just wanted a place to stay, we never once thought of hurting Sakura-san.
After listening to the girls, I became thoughtful. While the rest of the girls waited to see what my answer would be, I looked at Maria and Mio once more and said my answer.
Arata: umm Okay, I believe you.
Maria: oh You are more understanding than you seem; so we will continue looking for a place to stay and you will never hear from us again.
Arata: Yeah, I can't let you go, you have to come to our house.
"...eehhh. "
All the girls were taken aback by what I said, and Maria, who had mostly remained calm this whole time, was taken by surprise.
Maria: ... Excuse me, are you joking?
When Maria doubted my words, I summoned my floating swords, and Maria's body trembled slightly.
