This chapter is gonna be somewhat filler, but also basically the same as the original episode of the show except for the end parts. Also, the main character is not born there, but when he was getting powerful. He did meet Charlie and became like siblings. By the way, the MC might look different sometimes because I attempt to figure out how he looks and also he might look different by the where he is.
The day began with a song. High up on the balcony of the old hotel, Princess Charlie stood alone. She looked out at the red sky of Hell and began to sing "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows." Her voice was soft and full of a sadness that most demons didn't have. She sang about wanting to find happiness at the end of a rainbow, but feeling like her life was just a race that she was losing. She felt like a failure because her dreams of saving sinners were being ignored by her father and mocked by the world.
As she sang, the yearly Extermination ended. Great white fireworks burst in the sky, signaling that the angels were gone for another year. Below in the streets, the "trash" of Hell began to crawl back out. Demons started picking up pieces of bodies to sell as meat. Overlords like Carmilla Carmine opened their blinds to look at the damage. The Vees took selfies in their high-rise towers. Life or what passed for it in Hell was starting again.
The Chaos in the Streets
Far away from the hotel, the streets were a mess. A four-armed demon fell from the sky and yelled, "I'm alive!" only to be run over immediately by a car. Out of that car stepped Angel Dust, the famous porn star. He was tall, thin, and covered in white fluff. He had just finished a "job" for a driver named Travis.
"Keep this quiet," Angel told Travis while fixing his hair. "I can't have people knowing I'm working for randos on the street."
But Angel's day got worse. A demon stole his drugs, and then a giant boulder fell from the sky and crushed the thief and the drugs at the same time. "MY DRUGS!" Angel screamed at the sky.
The boulder had come from a giant war ship floating in the air. Inside was Sir Pentious, a snake demon who loved machines. He was laughing and pushing buttons, thinking he was going to take over the whole city. He had a group of little "Egg Boiz" who followed him around. One egg asked if he could be shot with a ray gun, which made the snake demon very angry.
Suddenly, a girl named Cherri Bomb showed up. She started throwing bombs at the ship and calling Sir Pentious an "Edgelord." A huge turf war started right there in the street.
The News and the Interview
The war was so big that it was shown on 666 News. The anchors, Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench, laughed about the violence. Katie was a mean woman who liked to pour hot coffee on Tom just for fun. They announced that their next guest was the daughter of the big boss: Charlie.
Backstage, Charlie was very nervous. Her girlfriend, Vaggie, was trying to help her get ready. Vaggie was a gray-skinned demon with an eye patch who was very protective of Charlie.
"Don't sing, Charlie," Vaggie begged. "This is serious."
But when Charlie got out under the lights, she couldn't help it. After Katie Killjoy was mean to her and poked her in the nose, Charlie decided to tell the world about her "Happy Hotel." She broke into a big song and dance. She sang about how "inside of every demon is a rainbow." She danced with monsters and told everyone that they could be redeemed if they just came to her hotel.
The demons watching on the streets laughed. They thought she was crazy. Even worse, the news showed a live video of Angel Dust who was supposed to be Charlie's first "good" patient fighting in the turf war with Cherri Bomb.
"Oh... shit," Charlie whispered as she watched her star pupil throw a grenade on live TV.
The Arrival of the King
While this was happening, a figure was watching from the back of the news studio. It was Vane. He was wearing his dark hoodie, hiding his glowing purple marks. He watched his sister get laughed at. He saw Katie Killjoy grow into a giant monster and try to hurt Charlie.
Vane's eyes glowed purple. He was ready to jump in and tear the studio apart. But then, he saw Charlie stand up for herself. She grabbed Katie's pen and called her a "bitch." Vane smiled. His little sister still had some fight in her.
Vane followed the group back to the hotel from a distance. He watched the limousine pull up. Inside, Vaggie was yelling at Angel Dust for ruining their reputation. Angel didn't seem to care. He just made sex jokes and played with the window button until Vaggie tried to stab him with a knife.
Charlie went inside the dusty, broken-down hotel. She was crying. She called her mom and left a message saying she didn't know if she could make a difference.
Vane stood in the shadows of the porch. He was about to knock, but someone beat him to it.
The Deal with the Radio Demon
A tall demon in red with deer ears appeared out of nowhere. It was Alastor, the Radio Demon. He was one of the most dangerous souls in Hell. He had a permanent, creepy smile and a voice that sounded like an old radio.
Charlie opened the door and slammed it shut twice before finally letting him speak. Alastor told her he wanted to help.
"Why?" Charlie asked.
"Sheer absolute boredom!" Alastor laughed. He didn't believe in redemption. He just wanted to watch sinners try to be good and fail. It was "entertainment" to him.
Vaggie was terrified. She told Charlie that Alastor was a monster who had killed many Overlords overnight. But Charlie, wanting to give everyone a chance, made a deal. Not a soul-deal, but an agreement. Alastor would help with the hotel, but there would be "no voodoo strings attached."
With a snap of his fingers, Alastor started fixing the place. He brought in a tiny, one-eyed maid named Niffty, who started cleaning at super speed. He also summoned a grumpy cat demon named Husk to work at the bar. Husk didn't want to be there until Alastor offered him a bottle of cheap booze.
Vane Steps In
Suddenly, the front of the hotel exploded. Sir Pentious had followed them in his war ship!
"Hah! I have the element of surprise!" the snake demon yelled.
Alastor didn't even look worried. He snapped his fingers and giant shadows came out of the ground. They ripped the ship to pieces in seconds. As the smoke cleared, Alastor turned to the group and asked, "Who wants some Jambalaya?"
That was when Vane finally stepped out of the shadows and onto the ruined porch.
The group froze. They saw a man with glowing purple lines on his skin and eyes that looked like a storm. The air around him felt heavy, like the static before a lightning strike. Alastor's smile twitched. He recognized the power.
"Vane?" Charlie whispered. She wiped her eyes. "Is that really you?"
Vane looked at the mismatched group the porn star, the soldier, the maid, the grumpy cat, and the Radio Demon. He looked at his sister, who was covered in soot but still trying to smile.
"It looks like you're running a circus, Charlie," Vane said, his voice deep and calm.
He looked at Alastor. The two powerful demons stared at each other. The purple red energy of Chaos met the red energy of the Radio.
"I'm staying," Vane said. "Not for the 'entertainment.' But to make sure this hotel doesn't fall down the next time someone throws a bomb at it."
Charlie ran forward and hugged him so hard he almost lost his breath. For the first time in years, the friends that see themselves as twins were under the same roof. The Hazbin Hotel finally had its King.
