Outside the screen, Natasha Romanoff exclaimed in astonishment,
"He just puts on that strange helmet and can instantly locate anyone in the world—silently invading their mind and locking onto their position?"
Tony Stark shrugged.
"You already saw Charles's introduction earlier, didn't you? That's exactly how his mutant ability works."
Erik Lehnsherr added calmly,
"If Charles truly wanted to, he could kill every ordinary human on the planet in an instant."
Natasha's eyes widened. Homelander and Bruce Banner were equally stunned.
They had all seen the earlier explanatory footage about Charles Xavier and knew he was powerful—but none of them had imagined he could be this terrifying.
Homelander even began to fantasize. If he had such an ability, wouldn't the entire world become his personal playground?
At that point, he could drink as much milk as he wanted—whenever he wanted!
On the screen, the footage ended with Charles Xavier smiling after locating Moira.
In the Eternal Space, Natasha Romanoff asked curiously,
"So it seems there was some kind of story between Mr. Xavier and Ms. Moira?"
Tony Stark shrugged again.
"That's right—pretty much what you're thinking. They had a relationship, though not a happy one. Charles and Moira loved each other, but in order to protect her, Charles chose to erase her memories of him."
Natasha sighed in admiration.
"Wow… that actually sounds quite romantic."
Erik Lehnsherr curled his lip.
"Is that really how women see it? What's romantic about that?"
At that moment, a new question appeared on the light screen:
[Apocalypse, En Sabah Nur, assembles his new Four Horsemen. Which of the following is not one of them?]
[A: Raven Darkhölme
B: Ororo Munroe
C: Erik Lehnsherr
D: Warren Kenneth Worthington III]
Bruce Banner said thoughtfully,
"The Four Horsemen… does that refer to the four guards who stood beside En Sabah Nur during his reincarnation ritual?"
Tony Stark nodded.
"Most likely. Apocalypse—he's not stupid. After reviving, he knows to gather followers. But his subordinates from three thousand years ago are nothing but bones now, so he recruited new ones."
As he spoke, Tony glanced at Erik Lehnsherr. To him, the answer seemed obvious—Magneto.
Erik was a natural-born leader, a figure meant to stand at the top. There was no way someone like him would submit to another, even if that person were the first mutant in history.
Even with Charles Xavier—someone he once bonded with deeply—their partnership ultimately fell apart. On the surface, it was ideological conflict, but at its core, it was pride and leadership clashing. Two kings could not share one throne.
Erik Lehnsherr himself thought the same. The moment he saw the question and the options, he concluded the answer had to be C.
Homelander caught their subtle reactions and quietly schemed to himself.
'Tony and Erik look confident. I'll just follow their lead this time.'
Soon, the countdown began. The players pressed their buzzers almost simultaneously, but this time Bruce Banner won the right to answer.
After a moment's thought, he chose A.
Tony Stark shot him a look.
"Bruce, you really should've thought that through. I'm choosing C."
Erik Lehnsherr, Natasha Romanoff, and Homelander all made the same choice.
However, when the countdown ended and the correct answer was revealed, the four of them were left stunned.
[Congratulations, player Bruce Banner—correct answer. +4 points!]
[Players Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, Erik Lehnsherr, and Homelander—incorrect answers. −1 point each.]
Facing their shocked expressions, Bruce Banner spread his hands.
"See? Looks like my luck isn't too bad, right?"
Erik Lehnsherr slapped his forehead.
"I don't understand—why isn't the answer me? Even if Apocalypse is the first mutant in history, I would never serve under him or follow his orders!"
Bruce Banner shook his head.
"I don't think that's necessarily true, Erik. In the future footage we saw earlier, you suffered a devastating blow. I'm certain you were mentally and emotionally fragile at that time."
"Think about it—if Apocalypse had found you then and manipulated you, tempted you… would you really have refused?
Under normal circumstances, you might have chosen differently. But in an extreme emotional state, there's a strong chance you would have followed him."
After a brief pause, Bruce added,
"Of course, that's just my speculation. The truth might be different."
Tony Stark frowned thoughtfully.
"Bruce, I think you're probably right… Damn it. I didn't think that deeply. Erik left too strong an impression on me. You know, this guy has a heart of steel. Once he makes a decision, no one can change it. I just couldn't imagine him playing second fiddle to anyone."
Erik Lehnsherr's face darkened.
"What do you mean 'playing second fiddle'? The question clearly says Four Horsemen. Can you watch your language?"
Natasha Romanoff sighed.
"Maybe the question was deliberately designed to exploit your preconceived notions."
At this point, she had largely been following Tony Stark's choices. Especially this late in the game, her knowledge of the X-Men world was limited, and guessing blindly felt riskier than sticking with Tony.
After the answer was revealed, the light screen began playing the corresponding footage.
The scene returned to Cairo, Egypt. A young Black girl with a strikingly unconventional hairstyle was using her mutant ability to create a storm, causing chaos so she could steal in the confusion.
She was, of course, Storm—Ororo Munroe.
This footage expanded on her earlier introduction, revealing more details.
Hidden among the crowd was a mysterious man in a cloak, carefully observing the moment Ororo summoned the storm.
There was no doubt about it—this cloaked figure was Apocalypse, En Sabah Nur.
Elsewhere, Ororo fled after grabbing the stolen goods. Clearly, this wasn't her first time—but as the saying goes, the more often you walk by the river, the more likely your shoes will get wet.
This time, she ran into trouble.
Separated from her companions, Ororo slipped into an alley—only to find both ends blocked.
The victims were furious and intended to break one of her arms.
And it was at that very moment that En Sabah Nur stepped forward.
